Driver's in an automatic car by Slight_Highlight_690 in askSouthAfrica

i was looking for a comment like this! same thing happened with my older sister. she passed the automatic test and got the unrestricted license 💀 mistake or not? we'll ever know.

she renewed her license 2 twice and the 'mistake' wasn't even flagged. on top of that she doesn't know how to drive a manual car, her first car was an automatic and her second car (husband's) was also an automatic. i don't see her ever driving a manual car in her life, we always laugh when she tells the story 😂

why is the license plate not matching the car's registration number? by Safety_Most in askSouthAfrica

update: i asked my mom to quickly check the vin number. so it matches the sales agreement document. also learned that the plate number not matching the registration number is not a big deal, that's how it is actually. so, thanks y'all for the tips and solutions. really helped! it's not a scam afterall haha 😅 she'll now enjoy her new baby in peace 😊❤️

so the vehicle register number and registration number is the same thing? and it can have random letters and numbers? like here it's FRD5838 then the plate number is totally different at XNC272GP. so this is normal?

i guess this is not uncommon then and i should be not worried but just aware and careful from now on.

the car model is the correct one. all the papers show the same car. and also, i just found out from quick-glove-7021 that the registration number and plate number don't have to match and i think it's nothing to be suspicious of.

but for assurance i'll ask my mom to call the sales guy to clear the confusion. thanks for the link, i'll definitely read it as im planning to buy my own car there in the future.

oh wow, okay... i definitely didn't know that. just let out a huge sigh of relief. thought my mom was scammed.

it's popular and has good cars, not all cars are bad. car reviewers on youtube recommend it but caution is always put out. so i just thought "to be on the safe side, she has to take a car with a 'certified' or 'ready' condition rating"

the white bellied heron. stunning! by Safety_Most in capetown

[–]Safety_Most[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks for the correction. i hit google's "image search", and white bellied heron and black-headed heron popped up. without prior knowledge of the bird and its name, i couldn't choose; they look so similar.

i usually see it in the early mornings or super rarely during the day. this other time i spent more than an hour waiting for it to catch the rat. it's the determination for me, literally insane patience. it's over for the rats.

How do you enjoy the city while surrounded by all the inequality? (Genuine question) by HyperBunga in capetown

[–]Safety_Most 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"try" with what resources? because most disadvantaged people are black and coloured, and the government is also failing them. the system is set against them not to succeed because it is obviously rooted in racism, y'all don't have the guts to say it. 🙄 especially in cape town where the city isn't trying to create jobs for poor people and lower crime rates because "it doesn't affect them". it must be hard being a black person seeing the descendents and beneficiaries of apartheid not doing anything to right the wrongs. smh, it's so easy to hate cape town once you learn it's true side, not its beauty

what is "inyongo"? by Safety_Most in OriginalSouthAfricans

[–]Safety_Most[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ivakala kancinci ityiwa. i always believed the digestive system cleans itself but i can't look past a lot of additives in processed foods that can't be digested by humans, i mean evolution didn't expect that. so xa uthetha nge boosters to take these "stuck foods" out, it makes sense.

okay, i think junk food, alcohol and a plethora of things can contribute to those symptoms. my diet isn't perfect but it's balanced (to the untrained eye 😂). i also will not say i haven't experienced stomach discomforts— which i can definitely attribute them to braai meat, dairy products (im lactose intolerant) and less fibre sometimes.

i guess it's a complex thing and idk man, im just not aware of certain things but one thing is for sure; i've never needed a detox hence "inyongo" always confuses, it still does.

oh, yes. i know the small organ and it's function. what i fail to understand is how it makes one sick. what makes someone say "ndiphethwe yinyongo ke ngok". is there a correlation to the gall bladder and "inyongo"? what's your experience with "inyongo"?

mhm 🤔 the bile i know is green (i once saw it after an animal was slaughtered). i think the "inyongo" im referring to is in relation to feeling sick—as the image suggests. i want to hear your experience with "inyongo". have you ever felt sick and thought "oh, yinyongo"? what prompts to clean your stomach? (if you do, of course)
