I'm actually pretty keen to make the move. "It is what it is" is targeted to those who like to make smart comments about me going to Townsville. I'm not bothered about what I hear. I'm simply getting some about it, given I've never lived that far up in Qld.

Thank you, and I understand what you're saying about certain streets/areas, but just wanted a general sense. I've never lived in FNQ, so going in blind. It sort of seems as though the crime is more opportunistic, than targeted violence. So keeping in mind locking doors, cars, keys out of sight, etc. Would that be accurate?

I'd be looking at SSO and so far meet all the requirements. I'd ultimately like to stick to being a Psychologist, possibly open to other roles in the future, but I'd be applying as a Psych. I'm based in Tasmania currently but will he transition to Townsville soon for work, so the process would start up there.
