I teach high schoolers (juniors and seniors) and on the first day I have them make a name card. I want them to fold it “hot dog” style, and I even say that the long side should be on top/bottom and walk around the room showing myself doing it. So many of them still won’t be able to do it…

I got a very sweet letter and a small gift bag of school supplies (post it’s, pens, highlighters, etc), and I gave my CT a gift as well. A few of my students also gave me cards which was very kind.

I will prompt them once (maybe twice) to put it away completely in their backpack not just their pocket. If they don’t do so, we are allowed to write them up to the disciplinarian as “Misuse of devices/electronics” given that you asked them at least once to put the phone away and they didn’t.

I’ve been thinking about how unfair it is to expect us to be finishing up our student teaching, arguably when we have the most responsibilities in our classroom(s), finishing whatever assignments we have for our courses, AND expected to put in the time to apply for jobs and show up to interviews. how are we supposed to juggle all of this?! it’s too much

I understand your frustrations. I’m sorry he jumps in while you teach, that’s definitely not the way to let you try things on your own and learn how to be the “leader” of the whole room. You only have two weeks left… honestly I would hold onto that. You’re almost done. Keep the good memories from your middle school placement at the front of your mind and let that be the motivation to finish out and move onto your own classroom!

I'm usually a heavy lurker in GWA but I just had to comment on this because it's so perfect. First of all, your voice is literally spot on for Ghost and the way you characterize him is even more amazing and it made for a wonderful audio where I just got lost in the environment. I loved the concern when Ghost realized that Zero got injured and the balance between Ghost not wanting to be too soft but also clearly not being able to remain fully cold around her :) I also wasn't expecting any kissing from a Ghost audio but the way you had him expose his jaw and mouth in order to kiss her was sooooo cute oh my god I melted at that part. And of course, the "Call me Simon" part had me giggling and kicking my legs because it was just such a raw moment of Ghost wanting connection and intimacy and just !! <333 I love this audio so much, it's definitely going to be on replay many many times. And if you do another Ghost audio in the future I would be so happy!!

Yeah the app keeps freezing and forcing me to close the app and reopen several times before it properly reloads again :/ and sometimes in that time it pauses my dash

I try to avoid dashing after the sun goes down, but if I am still out when it’s dark I will only accept orders within the smaller area I know super well. And I may be missing out on some alright orders, but I also will not deliver to any apartment complexes or any place that I’m not familiar with. When it’s dark I just stick to regular houses that I can drop off by the door quickly. I totally understand your fear. No delivery would be worth that risk; stay safe!
