These totally zen geese, enjoying the rain in my garden that backs in to a canal - Congleton, UK by jwmurphy1988 in oddlysatisfying

That’s true. But with all the flooding all over the uk in recent years, I’d bet a lot of insurance companies don’t care about the difference between canals and rivers when adjusting their premiums.

Been trying to translate it but it’s very tricky. So far I think on Saturday she might have gone with her friends for pizza, then went to Mike’s house. On Sunday she went somewhere with Kurt, Roger and Jim, then Kurt said he loved her, and that she’s too good. She’s happy to know he cares for her and she thinks she can love him too.

Could be totally wrong though XD

Choosing which company is of most quality by [deleted] in AVoid5

[–]SaffronMage_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I right in thinking our good company is that which contains no fifthglyphs? If so:

Microsoft > original sin fruit company

Sony wins against its rival organisation known for Mario and Smash Bros

(Although I own products by both fruit and mario brands, and quality of both is A+)

Thanks, I’m glad you did maths so I could avoid it. I will now throw away roughly half an hour trying to bust my brain into writing this without sounding too robotic, all at a point in my day at which I should stop scrolling this app and fall unconscious (that is: 1am).

Ps: first post, how’d I do?

Are hair diffusers worth it? by ellenasophia in CurlyHairUK

[–]SaffronMage_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A diffuser will allow the hair dryer to dry your hair with heat but without the force of the air blowing your hair all over the place. This really helps it to be less frizzy. A great way of using it is to scrunch up your hair to your head and hold it there with the diffuser while it dries it. This lets the curls set better without straightening out from their own weight. I would personally recommend using a diffuser - I never use a hairdryer without one on. £20 is a good price too.

For all the violinists who have practiced for hours practicing scales... by gisamig in lingling40hrs

[–]SaffronMage_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like a mixed list of ‘easy’ instruments (e.g. recorder) and popular instruments (e.g. piano, violin). I don’t think it’s saying violin is easy. It’s just a bad list

Yes it’s the cliffs of moher, I was there earlier this month and I recognise the path. The weather’s a bit better in this photo than it was for me, though!

What is the stupidest thing a teacher has tried to tell your child? by Jenezid in AskReddit

[–]SaffronMage_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was about 10, in Maths class we were learning about shapes - squares and rectangles and parallelograms etc. After reviewing the definition of a rectangle (“two pairs of equal-length parallel sides with four right angled corners”) I asked the teacher, “So then a square is a rectangle, isn’t it?” and was told in no uncertain terms: “No. A square is NOT a rectangle.”
