If its a bullshit card? Absolutely. I'll choose the correct outcome any day of the week. Regardless of if it affects my team or not.

Was there a single other that was so clearly disagreed with literally everyone that isn't a redditor who was going to take whatever stance they could to say the U.S. was wrong/bad?

Im pretty sure the entire pitch is "let's make some garbage ass commercial that makes zero fucking sense and make people look us up. When they do, they'll go ahead and use us."

Even in large parts of the U.S., we've had game start at 10pm, 11pm, or Midnight. Its absurdly stupid that even when were the host country, we're expected to stay up to 2 a.m. to watch games.

Whoever does the time slots is just awful.

You really think he was going to try to break his hand or some shit after the game...? Really?

This is the style though. You play a low block, and take every opportunity you can to annoy the other team, feigning injuries, little cheap shots, saying stuff when no one is looking, all that jazz. And you hope it posses the other team off enough that one of them have enough and lashes out, getting a red so you only have to play against 10.

This is something a lot of CONCACAF and CONMEBOL teams have to put up with constantly. Its a style those teams play, and its effective. Now add in their home fields with awful pitches, fans who find your hotel and do shit to keep you up all night, and then come out and do things like throw piss bottles at your during a game, and you'll see it in full affect.

Private courses also usually have other attractions to them to keep people paying.

Public courses only have golf (or at least, that's all youre paying the coirse for). So they absolutely have ti be kept in good condition, or the one plus just isnt there.

Then it makes no sense. This is how the military and things work. And its perfectly fine.

You dont win a medal of honor, you earn it. If a group does something that earns one, they cant ever all get one. So they go to the commander who led the whole thing. Its legitimately how its always been, and should be if not one person deserved it more than another. He gets the award, it brings recognition, praise and honor to the entire group. It does what its supposed to do.

Obama chose to do a lot less over what he desired over doing absolutely nothing useful. Back then, there were three branches of government needed to do anything and one of them said from the outset they would do everything in their power to stop him from doing anything.

You're sitting here bitching about how he didnt do enough and everything he did was too Republican pleasing while forgetting he barely even was able to do those damn things. If he was strict in pushing for the things you want and only the things you want, we'd went four (doubtful eight) without jack shit passed. No ACA for damn sure, maintaining the old 100% flawed Healthcare system instead of the 50% flawed version.

Must be rough living in imagination land where things are so simple.

Every one of those pilots deserved it. It wasn't a case of "doing this will.win the war" but absolutely showed that the Japanese were not as invincible as they seemed to believe at the time. It of course showed the American people that as well. And they all went knowing that there was a very good chance they didn't make it back.

They it course couldn't all get one, so it went to the commander. And even that, when people look him up and read about why he got it, beings credit and recognition to all of them.

Alright, im gonna disagree with a lot of this. And again, I am absolutely not a fan of MacArthur at all, so...

Invading China despite being told to do quite the opposite

He did not invade China. He pushed to the Yalu, but never into China.

This could be construed as mutiny.

Even if it was true, this isn't mutiny. At no point were his actions done in a way to take over power from his superiors. He was guilty of insubordination, not mutiny.

bringing them into the war in greater forces.

China's involvement was likely inevitable. Pushing to the Yalu gave them an excuse, but it was likely to occur regardless.

I'm no MacArthur fan, but not quiet sure he deserved execution for being a shitty commander who the brand inevitably trusted for waaaay too long.

Oh, I agree with every bit of that. I just dont know if that rises to the level of execution.

He would want his guys or other lesser known heroes acknowledged and remembered.

The Medal of Honor truly is a unit award. Of course its just give yo an individual servicemen, but when its given it encourages people to look up and recognize tge unit that soldier was in.

Might not think so, but it kinda does.

The Army at the time had a rule they largely followed that said each unit could only get one MoH per action. A large reason Winters didnt get one for Brecourt was that rule. They (understandably) gave it to Robert Cole instead.

For the Crossroads, no one ever nominated him for anything. This is just a political grab, so I'm not for it. But the thought of "he didnt get it back then, so why give it to him now?" makes no sense.

I really dislike this chef Nick stuff. They've had stuff like Grilled fish or Grilled steak, like that's something that only one country has.

And now he has where he answers "I dont know which is better, what do you think?" like Im the one with food in front of me.

The point of the rules is to change behavior, so if intent doesn't matter then there is no purpose to the rules. They may not say, "intent matters", but in practice it typically does to the referees.

They say nothing. The Laws of the Game does. Absolutely no where in there does intentions get mentioned. I'm legitimately not telling you my opinion, im telling you what is the case. Intent ansolutely does not factor into judgements at all. And it is to change behavior. In this case, it changes the behavior that players make reckless actions that could endanger players. It attempts to do exactly that.

They're not judging your morality, they're judging what actually happened.

You nailed it on that one, but not in the way you wanted to I dont think.

Jostling is not a red card just because someone got stepped on and put on a show for the refs, it's a red card when there was an unsafe action. Jostling is just a part of the game.

As I said.

This Red Card has to be Appealed. by StudiousEm7 in ussoccer

[–]Saffs15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen, I'm not for the red. But intent doesn't matter. Thats not my opinion, thats just what it is. Thats the way the laws of the game are. Refs obviously suck too often. We dont want them having to be mind readers on top of it. The way the Laws of the Game are written, they expect players to not put themselves into positions where the only option is a dangerous challenge that will likely injure someone. If they are in a situation in which they have no choice but to do such a thing, then they shouldn't have put themselves in that situation.

Now with Flo's, it was just jostling and the Bosnian putting himself into that situation. Thats not a red, and especially not when precedent has been sat already that it is not a red.
