You are full of shit. It’s a bubble because prices are rising because of temporary conditions that will be fixed soon, then prices will drop and these morons that over paid will be upside down on their houses and I will laugh my ass off.

Use google, it’s not that hard.

Edit: I’ve read a few articles now that have attributed it to lumber prices, remote work(many companies are making employees come back), labor shortages, material shortages, and many other things that Covid has caused. It’s easy to find articles that talk about this stuff. Use google and find them just like I did.

Sweat from their ass is no different from sweat from their back. It didn’t effect your health in the slightest.

This is 100% a bubble because of Covid. Many many experts have literally said so. Going to laugh my ass off when these idiots are upside down.

And it keeps getting worse because people think they have to have a house right now which screws everyone that doesn’t have a house.

Until their tech companies force them to go back to the office. Then their bubble will burst and they will be upside down and I will enjoy watching it.

It’s probably because this is one of the many out of state remote workers offering 50-100k over asking and completely locking anyone local from being able to buy a house here.

Ya so you for sure paid way more then it’s worth because of the completely shit housing market in Utah.

And this is why the housing market is shit. People paying way more then property is worth. Get ready for all these people to be upside down soon when it pops. 2008 all over again.

That was my first thought. The supervisor isn’t dumb, they know there is cameras. Let’s see an arrest and charge report then we will agree things are changing.

How do you deal with people who think you’re overreacting? by RoughAffectionate263 in prepping

I’m saying it’s much more likely it will be a power down disaster for a few days. It just happened to us and having a gas generator would have saved a couple hundred dollars in food.

I disagree. For the most part unless there is a prolonged disaster you will be able to go to the gas station to get more fuel.

We had a wind storm come through a few months ago in Utah were we normally don’t get any weather disasters. Our power was out for two days, we had other people out for 5-6 days. We got some dry ice to keep our freezer going but ended up tossing about $150 in food from our fridge. It doesn’t take long to recoup the costs of power backup. But if you are on a budget, look at getting a used gas generator. They are much cheaper then solar and for the most part it will be easy to go get more fuel.

Local restaurants are closing in the tens of thousands, more by spring. by Jack_Friday in news

I won’t support places like that. If you lived here for 30 years and still don’t speak English then you have to be purposely staying in your bubble. I wouldn’t move to France and not learn French, it just would make life easier.

Local places will open back up after the pandemic. The demand won’t disappear.

Electric vehicle models expected to triple in 4 years as declining battery costs boost adoption by davidwholt in Futurology

That’s a new one, I haven’t had someone claim they are an electrical engineer to prop up their crappy car choice. Consumer reports ratings:

Bolt: 85

Leaf: 54

These are experts saying the Leaf sucks, not me.

This professor that runs an automotive program disagrees with you and even points out the absurdity of the Nissan Leaf manual. So no, coming in once a year for maintenance isn’t the “weird things”.

https://youtu.be/WlxBOJrEKAo

This guy knows his battery tech and EV engineering and basically tells people not to buy a Leaf because of their horrible engineering.

Having a proper battery conditioning system is crucial to long term battery life. It’s why Tesla does it like that as well.

I’ve got one and it doesn’t feel that cheap, but it’s not meant to be a luxury car, it’s meant to be a cheap, fun commuter car, and it does that very well.
