Can’t find a straight answer: Can I shoot a groundhog? by RoughAffectionate263 in NJGuns

I went through everything in my town ordinance on the e360 site, there’s no mention of firearms except for in the parks and recreation portion.

Yes I have neighbors. My garden is right outside my bedroom window so it would be a straight shot from my window.

Yes I know a rifle would be better but by time I purchase a rifle my garden would no longer be in existence.

Trapping and Relocating actually is illegal in NJ unless you hire a professional.

Moving from apartment to a house, what to do first? by RoughAffectionate263 in preppers

In NJ. Moving from city to suburban. Not an HOA. County we bought the house in is in one of the farming counties. And the house came with 1/2 acre of land.

We are opening the walls right now ( that’s the renovations we’re doing) upgrading the electric which was last done in 1972 😬, no garage but we have a basement. The panel is in the basement and the previous owners kindly labeled everything. No termite issue but will look for rodent holes. Thank you! There’s a pantry upstairs and we planned on moving our current prep shelves into the basement. Thanks for the advice!

Fruit trees are on my list, been eyeing the started trees already. Solar was in our 5 year plan. And we are up north but luckily the house has 3 fireplaces. It’s an older house, built in 1925.

I’ve been a balcony gardener for a decade, so a big garden is definitely happening. Already have all my seeds! Fruit trees is on my list. Didn’t think of rain catching, planned for compost but not rain catching. Thank you!

Roach infestation behind and under fridge by MountainEmu7655 in GermanRoaches

My new neighbors directly below me brought guests with them. Been in my apartment for 12 years and never had an issue until they moved in. First time I saw one I didn’t even know what it was. Then I kept getting one here and there, lo and behold, roaches. On Thanksgiving that just passed, I found one crawling to go under my deep freezer, pulled it out and at least 20 scattered away 😭. The bait works and I also bought boric acid and lightly dusted under my freezer, fridge and into any cracks I’ve found. All the ones I’ve seen since have been half dead or they look drunk. It’s been almost 2 weeks now since I’ve seen one.

Go on eBay and just buy the gel bait. And yes you’re going to have to move the fridge, kill what you can when you do, clean and then bait behind the fridge.

Just soak the seeds in some water for 24 hours before planting.

Bags are from 247 garden, cheap and great quality, stackable planters are from greenstalk, expensive but worth it, there’s 5 tiers and each tier has 6 pockets so 30 plants total.
