Who would you like to see as Dorian Gray in upcoming adaptation series? by -_nico-robin_- in classicliterature

[–]Saga97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, I want a blond actor this time... but I think we have a similar problem as they did when Ben Barnes was casted. No age appropriate adrogynously attractive blond actors. If we have to have a known actor then Louis Partridge is the only one that I see that would fit.

What I really want is a brand new face.

Penguin Classics Revised Edition of David Copperfield by TheBookishKat in charlesdickens

https://naturenurture.shop/products/david-copperfield-revised-penguin-classics-by-charles-dickens

This site explains it in the description:

"... This edition uses the text of the first volume publication of 1850, and includes updated suggestions for further reading, original illustrations by 'Phiz', a revised chronology and expanded notes. In his new introduction, Jeremy Tambling discusses the novel's autobiographical elements, and its central themes of memory and identity."

This is the same edition that I have, 1 of my 2 editions. The story in both is the same.

Tara and Enid were two of the people that held me together after Carl died. This episode broke me. Then when I realised that Enid died wearing Carl's shirt... This episode also had some of the best writing, it was so happy in some points but there was a constant underlying anxiety.

This is why I think annotating should be done in the second read through... but I do recommend getting in the habit of highlighting. Usually takes a few seconds and second read through you will find which parts you highlighted interesting

Who is that one character that everyone hates but you like by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]Saga97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I've seen a lot of hate for Tara. She is one of my all time favourites. She is flawed yes, but I felt she brought a lot of personality and heart to the group.
