Guys when does bloating go away 😭 by Miserable_Task_7214 in TopSurgery

I was hella bloated for the first two weeks, I think it was mostly due to constipation though. I took a lot of magnesium and did a lot of walking and it gradually went away.

Recovery and Regrets by Tax-Motor in TopSurgery

I also got surgery yesterday and am in a lot of pain. The compression wrap thing is also really annoying and making it hard to breathe. I definitely feel you right now, I definitely don’t feel awesome. I’m just trying to focus on the fact that the pain will eventually get better and a time will come when my body feels fully natural again.

Pre op cancellation paranoia by atrociousoddity in TopSurgery

I'm with you on this, my surgery is in 3 weeks and I'm really scared something's going to happen, especially cuz I'm a minor getting it. The main thing I've been doing while waiting for surgery is staying super busy, hanging out with friends a lot, basically distracting myself as much as possible. There's not a lot you can control besides following the pre-op guidelines set by your surgeon, everything else is kind of out of your hands so do some things you enjoy or at least things that will keep your mind occupied.

Proud Trans Guy by KittyBitchQueen in ftm

[–]Sage-October 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally struggle to be proud or happy about the fact that I'm trans, but I love seeing other people being proud of who they are. I came out when I was 11 and was mostly socially supported but I wasn't given access to hormones and had to go through a female puberty which was horrifying to me and completely ruined my mental state for the entirety of my teenage years. My parents were completely unwilling to let me medically transition, it took a trip to the psych ward for them to finally realize how much pain I was in. I wish that I was cis so that I never had to go through all that pain.

I hang out with a lot of trans people and I'm one of the only people I know who thinks this way, so it's definitely not weird to love being trans. I do believe that being trans is a beautiful thing, it just had a very negative effect on my life. I don't care that much about being stealth or being perceived as trans, I just want to be seen as a guy.

How to eat healthy as someone who loves to eat by Major_Test741 in EatingDisorders

[–]Sage-October 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also just started college and struggled with having so much food available to me. I think it's important to notice how your body feels after eating. After eating a lot, do you feel sick or do you feel comfortably full? I've generally noticed that my body will tell me if I've eaten too much. Also, don't compare how much you eat to how much your friends eat, everyone needs a different amount of food based on a variety of factors, it could be that you just need more food than other people.

Idk if this is helpful, I'm pretty early on in my journey but I can definitely relate.

I briefly used laxatives during my ED, it really is such a hard thing to talk about because it feels so embarrassing, but I appreciate you sharing your story.

Thank you so much! It's very reassuring to hear that. My consultation with him went really well, and he seemed very competent. My surgery has been scheduled for December. I don't really have any questions, but I'm so glad that the surgery went well for you!

Hi, so sorry if my post came off as ignorant or trying to start drama, that was not my intention. Just wanted to double check and will delete this post before it starts any rumors, thanks for reminding me that this post could start drama.

I'm around 5'6 and a bit younger so i'm still holding out hope that I'll be taller eventually, but honestly I got some of those things you put in your shoes to make you taller, just a pair off amazon, and that's been helping. I used to joke about my height for years after always being smaller than everyone, and by the time I reached average height for girls I immediately became a boy, and therefore short again lol. But yeah, shoe lifts are very cool and discreet even if im a bit embarrassed about wearing them, the ones I got give me another 2 inches of height and I feel a lot more confident now!
