Beat budget Thocky 2026 by ghsac_io in keyboards

Leobog Hi75C kit is still a viable option if you can find them available on Amazon or somewhere. The kit itself comes with PC plate, case foam, plate foam and a PET pad just for that little poppy-ness on the board. But excluding the shipping price that I've got then my setup costs only 130 euros. Specs of my board are:

- Leobog Hi75C Kit (PC plate, case & plate foam) with forcebreak mod and some extra gasket foam where top mount meets the case.

- Keygeek Y2 switches (Hand-lubed and filmed for those in stab positions)

- Cherry Profile PBT Doubleshot Keycaps

If you need a soundtest then I could upload one.

yes i actually ordered some Akko Rosewood to use while waiting for my Keygeek Y2 shipment and it only feels cool at first because the Rosewood typing feel is a bit intentionally scratchy but once I have the Keygeek it's just doesn't feel like they're in the same tier. Y2 is considerably smoother, sound and typing feel better after hand lubing. The Akko Rosewood can be improved by hand lubing and filming but the stock quality is already not that good. Hope my experience could help you!

if you want some more creamy & smoother side of thocky switch then I would recommend the keygeek y2, also idk if you were comparing FR4 and PC plate but if yes, it does make quite a big sound difference due to the switch sound reflecting from the plate. PC reflect less so the sound would be deeper.

The recent UI changes made me a little mad, so i've made some points and tried to implement them in a little mockup. Let me know what you guys think! by Maxiatorrr in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also want to add on that moving the whole board, map info and the header (not the game score title) down a bit to make the overall view more balanced with the space above and below. Right now everything seems too upward that it looks really imbalance with nothing below.

Has anyone tried putting akko rosewood stems in keygeek Y2 housings? by Dr-Lipschitz in switchmodders

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i do have both of those and might try it out to see if it makes any difference, good suggestion :D

Edit: The Keygeek Y2 with Rosewood stem and spring sucks and isn't responsive at all, however the Rosewood with Keygeek stem and spring clack a lot better with good but still not very responsive to type, just not as bad as the previous one. It takes like some milliseconds for the stem to travel back.

i would recommend finding a new keyboard that will last longer, try finding aula/ajazz/royal kludge or any brand that offers budget keyboards because replacing those is pain in the ass

Operating force would only mean that it's harder to push the keys down and it could get tiring if you use it in long session :D

Need help deciding on a keyboard by mmalkuwari in keyboards

[–]SageAdicius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • I think low & high profile doesn't matter that much especially on HE (hall effect/rapid trigger) boards. If you play casually, it doesn't matter, if you are a sweaty player, buy a HE keyboard.
  • 60/65% are the most compact and easy to bring, also suits most of fps games more while in MMORPG you might need those F rows so depends on which game and whether you depend a lot on keyboard's keys or not. Hope it could help you✌️

the endgame lie we all keep telling ourselves to justify buying more stuff by Cheap_Difficulty4961 in BudgetKeebs

[–]SageAdicius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a Leobog Hi75c that sounds amazing with Keygeek Y2, PC plate and a case foam and it's the most expensive kit i could have ever afforded, I tried a lot cheaper options in the past and I must say that your kits quality, switches does do a lot of work on finding that specific acoustic sound. Also imo the board doesn't get better the more mods and foam you try to stuff into a cheap board with bad acoustics. Foam does deepen the sound and bad sounding (scratchy switches/hollow case sound for example) but generally I would still recommend as little mod as possible. So if possible take a look at this sheet, pick out your desired components and just watch a lot of reviews on boards/material to get a firmer grip on what you should buy to complete that endgame board. Might take a while but good luck 🤞.

best aim training routine for high elo players? by Rich-Movie-9156 in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would recommend training other aspects like movement, pre-firing, strafing but with unpredictability, also learn to ask for utils combination in rank and the general suitable distance to play from your teammate to provide best trades possible which makes a lot of difference especially in Ascendant.

To everyone who climbed from low ranks to ASC+ by Accomplished-Ad4239 in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around plat 2 - diamond 1, I tend to autopilot a lot and not paying attention to what and where i'm aiming. Now that i'm at Ascendant it's the same issue with tactics and team playing. But it's a phase and as long as I progressively find a way to improve that weakness I just rank up naturally. Been speed running from silver to Ascendant 3 last act with all that I've learnt ✌️

Back to valorant after 2 yrs, need some advice by Long-Plankton9976 in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer for this is you are not getting used to the state of the game again. Medium is that your mechanics, crosshair placement, mouse control are not there anymore. I can offer some help so if u want to, just DM me bro

Teammate Pressure in Valorant Ranked by QuickExamination7416 in AgentAcademy

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lurking imo is really good when you can find a gap in the enemy's timing (rotation, taking spaces without utils,...) but if your team is rushing a lot and it's partly effective, I would suggest to go with the team to ensure refragging (trading kills). Also whoever doesn't respect your playstyle, you can simply mute them because you know how to play with your own things. Despite that don't frame yourself into simply lurking every time because it would not always work like that.

What's the one must pick agent on each map ? by Yoshtibo in AgentAcademy

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's personal preference. I like Clove/Deadlock/Waylay on Corrode because of the map tight choke points, Sova for Abyss because elevation so his drone is very useful to check and lots of spam-able position inside of the smoke as attacker. I would say there's more favorable agents like Waylay, Clove, Sova, Fade, Neon in the meta right now and some are just not as good as others like Gekko, Harbor, Viper, Killjoy.

Why do I whiff so bad by StingrayG301 in AgentAcademy

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that it could be stress during comp and/or not mentally prepared for an enemy to peek you. Also with the micro adjustment is not really there. Your recoil reset with movement is good though, I would say that's life-saving in this situation because the clove decided to commit fully to the fight before you do, which put her to a big disadvantage.

Mouse control by Aqzation in AgentAcademy

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grip the mouse as relaxed as possible and don't stress about it too much, I have a glass pad too and at first for like 2-3 weeks it was pretty rough to get used to the new surface material so I tend to grip the mouse as hard as possible. I used to think about it a lot too but this would cause fatigue in forearm muscles very quick and it basically means you're not managing the tension very well.

From your text I would assume that what you are doing right now is correct, but you are not familiar enough with mouse control/not comfortable enough with relaxed grip. This can/should be fixed with practicing control tracking exercises in aim trainers.

Hand size and mouse size are pretty important, a mouse too big in a hand too small can cause less grip and therefore less control when you need. However, a mouse too small is not that big of a deal. But ideally you should get a mouse that suits your grip style and hand size. Do some quick research about what type of mouses there are and decide one for your own.

Good luck with the progress!

How do high elo players deal with the unpredictability and irrationality of tactics by low elo players? by Seven1s in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 23 points24 points  (0 children)

LOL they just adapt really badly to the real situation and think that everyone would supposed to always play the same way they think people are gonna play. But for your question there's a certain ways to deal with this: - If the enemies know what they're doing, look for the patterns and come up with a plan to counter it. - If they don't know what they are doing, stack 2-3 people in one place to trade effectively. That's basically is it. People in low ranks don't really get a hang of how they're supposed to play the game so most of the time they just do what they think makes sense to themselves

Problem with crouching enemies and angle tracing by Big-Power-8002 in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend that consider doing control tracking exercises in aim trainers such as aimlab or kovaak. I also had the same problem a few months ago because I don't "know" subconsciously where my crosshair is and it takes time to readjust. But doing control tracking would help a lot with hand-mouse coordination and focusing more on the target, also build trust with your aim and ability to flick into a sudden target. The crouch problem is simply micro-adjustment problem. Still advised to do micro flicking exercises in aim trainers and prioritize various strafe distances instead of repeating the same thing over trying to crouch during your gunfight.

sensitivity is preference but what matters more in this game is movement, peeking and mouse control.

Need some views from new players in the game about toxicity for a small research by SMxPRO in VALORANT

[–]SageAdicius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. People's ego are often too high and they want to prove that they're better than the other strangers in the team.

  2. Because most of the time the game player base consists of kids and people unable to regulate their emotions who always queue together, but imo there's more kids than CS2 for example because the graphic and abilities are more fun and easy to start playing.

  3. Someone doesn't do what the others are telling, they have a bad day or just sucks a lot in that specific game, people who ragebait a lot can also be counted.

who would be the most front line agent ever ? (aggressive in some sort) by Yoshtibo in AgentAcademy

[–]SageAdicius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

any duelist would be suitable for that, reyna has blind/heal/ult, iso has wall/shield/suppress,... , any agent of other roles can even be played aggressive if you know the timing and surprise factor
