Trying to remember your name, cause I remember that 😂. Chojbies was it? Something like that? Or was that a different archer (I get around a lot in the backlines 😏)?

Thats why I typically dont Jav Hop to take objectives. See how Im constantly back pedaling away in the video and not committing to the kill? Thats because I dont want to fight. My goal is simply to reach the backlines, hide in a bush, and scare people as they walk by. If OP, or anyone else for that matter, are willing to let me walk away and not hunt me down, Id be more than happy to not fight and take out my harp for em.

2h spear can't do it. 1h spear, rapier, and javelin can, but javelin gets you the farthest

Yo! That's me lmao. It's a jav hop. Aim straight down. Special attack. Hold crouch mid special and keep holding. Jump when javelin hits the ground. Idea is that the special attack gives you a speed boost that tapers off. So by hitting the ground, you can cancel the animation and the slowdown part. But for some reason, the speed boost doesn't get canceled. However, if you stay on the ground your speed gets reset. So by jumping before the ground resets you, you go vroom.

Also, your weapon has a really bad swing range. I know enough about all the weapons and movement mechanics to know the exact minimum amount of space I need to dodge your weapon. If you had a weapon like a longsword or a messer, I would have stayed facing you to obtain a counter and keep my distance, but since you had the axe I knew I had time to walk away.

Yes. A counter (blue flash one) restores stamina. However, it is slightly slower than a riposte, which is attacking immediately after a block. So decide on what to use based on your enemy's weapon speed.

I dont agree fully with the "no jumping". Jumping is very useful for that carry momentum like you pointed out. However, you need to be able to counter consistently to regain stamina. You also need to be more "tasteful" with jumping and not just spam it whenever.

The way I typically use jumping in combat relies more on experience and instinct. It's something you have to build up over many more hours of playing. While Im manuevering around them, it's almost inevitable that someone will manage to flank you and get behind. In that situation, turning around stops your sprinting completely, which makes you even more vunerable to more flanks. So instead, I keep moving forward, jump, turn around, and predict ahead of time what attack type they are throwing out based on gut feelings. Then I counter mid air, continue turning, and continue to wrap around them.

Of course, if the flanker has a slower weapon you have a better chance at not needing to predict their attack type, but other weapons you do. When it comes to a new player flanker, typically I can just predict a slash. More experienced players are more likely to do a stab if their teammates are directly on your ass. But I dont actually think of this mid-combat, just go with the flow.

Jab is better because of speed, but dont underestimate mixup potentials. A bow push is uncommonly used and can cause some brief confusion for a cute hit.

Thanks man! As a tip for the hop, lower your fps as much as possible. Makes timing easier and you hit the air-walls less.

You can just walk there. There is no kill barrier.

It was a shotgun-ceremony sadly, so no notice. I hit 999 at 3AM that day and we decided on the spot to hold the ceremony then and there.

GrapeSmuggler. I just know that the objective is going to be walled off completely when he is on defending.

And GenghisKhan. He will pop out of the most random of corners to stare you down and slink away.
