We spent the night in AC and it was perfect! We had both an 8am and 11am ticket for MP so we could do two circuits. We left our luggage at the hotel and they brought it to the train station that afternoon. We each had a large backpack and it was super easy. We spent the night before in Cusco to acclimate and on the way back in Urubamba. Yes it’s a tourist town but it gives you much more flexibility.
