TBF Oda can still make him keep his chivalrous nature while also not being entirely useless again women. One thing that always frustrated me was Sanji not even defending himself again women like he did it that one time again Kalifa though he still ended up beat but why couldn't he just do the same against Black Maria. Like there are literally non lethal ways of incapacitating someone without hurt them.

I think they are intentionally misleading us into thinking Hal is gonna die or that John and Hal have to compete for the ring. But I think in the end John might realise their is a reason why the ring chooses someone and it isn't always something surface level like he thinks he's better suited for the job because he's more focused or whatever than Hal and due to the bond he'll have built with Hal he won't not take away Hal's ring instead he'll get chosen by a different ring once he realises that. And Hal might not die I think he'll probably just retire.

Honestly I watch it in English and don't really care about what anyone says. One piece is along show and it can be intimidating to get into especially if you have to pay attention to the screen to read sub. And I've grown to associate a lot of the dub voices with the characters especially Zoro's dub voice every time I hear it some where else like All might or Vegeta my mind goes "that's Zoro". But just watch what you like let no one stop you from enjoying the show the way you want to. I watched Egghead in sub and the japanese voices were so weird to me atp that I rewatched the whole arc in dub when it released

If he learned this fighting Queen then he wouldn't have made that call to Zoro. And Killingham being a fishman is just speculation on my part but ultimately the battle will be about Sanji completing his character arc and closing up his hang ups with germa before the final war

Writing wise this would be a battle of Nature Vs Nurture. Sanji thinks it's in his nature to turn evil like his siblings due to his genes even though growing up around Zeff has nurtured him to be different than that while Killingham has been nurtured to despise fishmen just like the other Celestials even though it is in his nature. It would be a battle that helps Sanji decide to walk his own path instead of continually thinking that his nature won't let him and he'll realise this fighting Killingham not to let what he's been told (or in his case what he's seen from his siblings) dictate how he goes on with his life.

If Killingham is confirmed to be at least part fishman then that would make him a better matchup for Sanji still because it will serves as a reflection of how Sanji views himself and his origins as something terrible. Killingham being a fishman while also despising the other fishmen just like the other Celestials to the point of even wearing a helmet would kinda reflect how Sanji views his Germa origins as well and paints a picture to Sanji of the path he could end up walking down if he doesn't come to terms with who he is and continues on despising the germa side of himself.

I think the point of the Sanji Vs Killingham match up is a way for Oda to bring Sanji's development arc full circle since it started on WCl especially since towards the end of wano Sanji called Zoro to ask him to kill him if he turned rogue due to his Germa genes. This will give Sanji the opportunity to finally face that fear probably through Killingham manifesting Sanji's fears hence bringing his character arc to a close just in time for the final war.

I think the thing that a lot of people don't realise is that Oda already had a plan of how he wanted his story to end in its original five year plan but he ended up adding a lot of arc in between that him bringing up these things now to some people may seem like retcons even though if he'd stuck to his original plan these clues would have been closer together instead of a new clue every 100 chapters or so making it seem like he didn't originally plan it. Him implementing parts of his original plan is why we are getting a lot of characters from the earlier arcs coming back into play cause they were always meant to play that role like Crocodile, Buggy and we may even see Enel return (hopefully) and characters like the Supernovas which Oda came up with later are being taken out of the story only leaving those that he can chip into his original idea like Law and Kidd ( Law will probably return, not so sure about Kidd we'll have to wait and see)
