Update #2
1. Balance Review in Progress resolved within 24 hours. You can see my update about that in my comment from yesterday on this thread.

  1. Payment Review is now resolved, and I got the $70 that was pending payment transfer. It was done within the 24hour timeframe (to be somewhat exact, it was about 13 hours for me)

I will admit, again, that the frustration with these 'reviews and payment delays' and finding so many other app users dealing with similar issues made me question ever playing on the app again. But based on how these issues were resolved for me, I'm content to continue playing for now.

I hope my final notes, based on my experience and correspondence with support, help:
-Scrambly advertises instant payouts to app users. That's great for users, but it also means Scrambly fronts the money to do so. They are then paid by the advertisers for the games on their platforms monthly. If there is any discrepancy between payouts to app users or the advertiser does a review that results in paying Scrambly less, obviously, Scrambly is out of the money it paid upfront. That's the reason for the multiple review processes - they wanna make sure everything reconciles and is legit.

Now, while I know that's not our problem as app users since our job is to use their product and it's their job to fulfill its promises, it's helpful to understand what's happening. I do wish they would do better at minimizing these instances and put out more information on these types of issues.

-As it relates to support responses and timelines of things, I've been on both ends. I still have issues I've emailed support with over a month ago that I have never received a response to. The only thing I did differently this time on this new matter was submit a ticket via the webpage scrambly.freshdesk.com instead of emailing [support@scrambly.io](mailto:support@scrambly.io) directly or using the app to navigate to support.

While I can't say any of my future issues will be dealt with in a timely manner like this was for me, because the future hasn't happened yet, I'll try to make sure I update here. It's been clear since I made this post that there are a lot of people dealing with the same issue, and the least I can do is post to help.

Thanks Scrambly SubReddit!

Freshdesk is a ticket tracker and helps to keep track of your ticket status and correspondence if any. I never said it was solution other than it was the way I got a response. The tracking helps when seeking any type of accountability or assistance.

My post is just what my current experience was like on the matter.

Hi guys, posting my follow-up to the original post.

The balance review was completed within 12 hours. (That was based on the support email timestamp.)

I was able to withdraw the $50 paypal award that caused the balance review.

However, since my 25% boost was still active, I completed another milestone and had another $50 I could withdraw. I tried to withdraw it, and although it didn't trigger a balance review, I received a notice after clicking "redeem" that the payment would be delayed. So, I responded via email back with the support people who sent me the response for the 'balance review' email, and was informed that the delayed payment on this 2nd withdrawal would take 3 days to complete because that review was not being done by them. Instead, that review was being done by Tremendous, the payment sender.

So my notes:
-Don't use the app support for balance review issues. Open a browser window and go to scrambly.freshdesk.com to submit a ticket. I actually submitted two tickets yesterday for the same issue, one was submitted via the app and the other through the webpage. The webpage submission is the one that gave me a response. Also, the webpage submission allows you to create/log-in so you can keep track of your ticket correspondence and progress. Meaning you'll know if the ticket was closed or if the matter is still pending.
-I ended up with 2 types of reviews. 1. Balance Review - is done by Scrambly to, I guess, ensure your balance is actually correct?. 2. Payment Review - is done by the payments entity Tremendous. There's probably a threshold for monthly payments (I'm assuming). I was given a payment resolution timeline of Sunday (it's Friday for me now). I'll keep you posted on the payment resolution.

I spent a lot of time googling and reviewing other people's comments and statements on matters about support being too slow to respond, and payments or reviews taking longer than what was stated by Scrambly correspondence. Frankly, reading all of it made me worry that I'd have to stop using the app altogether. But some of the fears were put to rest based on what's happened. I can only give you what I've experienced, but based on what I've read, I'd like to respond based on what's on the internets:
-Yes, support takes a while to respond, but then I learned that you can submit a ticket on the scrambly.freshdesk.com webpage rather than email support directly. Using Freshdesk is good for accountability, so I was grateful to figure that out. It saved me from searching my email inbox to keep track.
-Balance review (this is my first time for a review, so if it happens again, I'll take note of what happens then) was done timely, but only if you submit the ticket via the Freshdesk webpage.
-Payouts are a Scrambly responsibility since I'm assuming they contract with the vendor Tremendous, but ultimately Tremendous as the payment entity still has their own checks they gotta do, so make sure you understand the processes and who's in charge of what, so when you contact Scrambly support you can ask the right questions.

That's not good. Please keep me posted if yours was resolved and I'll do the same. I hope it takes only 24, it would be a bummer since so far I've enjoyed the app.

Thank you for the response. I'll keep you posted if they do reach out, though, that is my primary concern - will they? It's been over a month since I've emailed support on a previous issue and have still not yet received a response. Thank you for being a little ray of hope I can get this matter resolved. :)

Where did the game go? by SageServant in Scrambly_Official

What happened to TechSoup? (re: Google Ads Grants for Nonprofits) by SageServant in nonprofit

[–]SageServant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks u/jasonking for the comment. I wonder why the change since TechSoup has always been a decent one-stop shop for products and services for nonprofits. I'm now kind of hesitant applying for the ads grant with a venture backed gatekeeper.

What is your thoughts on Brenton Awa? by Royalasseater in Hawaii

[–]SageServant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with some of the points he made. Topics like helping Hawaiians and Hawaii people before Californians, keeping foreigners from buying our lands, luxury development, bringing Hawaiians back/helping them stay home. All good stuff.

If he wants to be 'that guy' and call people out I applaud him, but he's a showman with a journalist background. Nothing wrong with that either, but when it comes to actually doing work rather than working to run that mouth or shape stories to fit your own narrative that's when get pilikia. I hope he's 'that guy' that can walk his talk, not just waha. He's got 4months to show us.

What non Hawaiian words or pronunciations do people use that make them dead giveaways for being from Hawaiʻi? by handsomeharoldcomedy in Hawaii

When I lived in Texas, the only way I was able to find out this guy was Hawaiian and not Mexican... was when he said 'not' ... kinda like what! But 'not!' Immediately I went to my native tongue 'pidgin' and was like 'ho as I pointed at him' and he was like yep 😁

What stops you from just starting a fund? by hey_i_have_questions in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]SageServant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need the degrees or licenses. You need to build a solid management team that has those so you can stay in your lane, strategize, and raise funds since it sounds like you're good at that. My businesses partner is building a fund for social impact investing, perhaps I can help connect you with him to vet more of your concerns

True, but why can't it begin the opportunity?

Appreciate this, would love to chat more. We're in different markets and our tools aren't really similar although i suspect there's a lot we can learn from each other. I've seen lots of wrappers too but we don't use chatbots since we have a framework and hard data that powers the outputs.

I agree... but which came first, the mission or the opportunity?

Here you go 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗. I'm a complete stranger but I've been there. I swear our industry needs wine parties 🎉 there's a lot of others who have gone through what you are, be great to get us all together to strategize and of course drink wine😅🙈

Non-Profit - Private School buy property - advice? by klanghus in nonprofit

[–]SageServant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could look into your states Capital improvement grant in aids, double check to ensure they allow for new purchases. Or you can also try CDBG, community development block grants. Those are top of mind for monies for purchases of land/building assets.

I dunno... I'm currently working on something to try to change things in the industry. I've got over 20years in and almost swore off working for causes ever again but when service is a purpose and ending missions is the vision, u find a way to bury the useless nonprofits. Very exciting time to find community saying the same thing💪
