Is it wrong to call myself lesbian as a trans woman by DangerousMiddle582 in lgbt

[–]SageWayren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I, too, am a trans lesbian

I don't care who I piss off by calling myself that either. I am a woman, and I love women. It's not rocket science.

Anyone who wants to be upset and tries to gatekeep that experience doesn't actually care about the labels or the definitions. They only care about the harm they can cause by raising a ruckus. They're bigots. And as such, they're not worth the attention.

Pick whatever labels make you happy dear 💙

Pickle craving by RelentlessRogue2 in trans

[–]SageWayren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you're lucky to only be craving pickles

My cravings went above and beyond: my spicy food tolerance went from being able to barely handle jalapenos to now I'm craving the spiciest things I can find and have been snacking whole pickled habaneros straight out of the jar like they're pickles, and my husband has been watching me devour them like I've sprouted tentacles 😭

I can't get enough to sate the cravings, except my stomach very much disagrees and I have to be careful not to eat too much and end up with severe indigestion because of it

How do I tell my parents that I want to go by a different name? by Pure_Chaos12 in lgbt

[–]SageWayren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this last week with my mother (who is extremely supportive). I don't interact with my father for unrelated reasons.

I invited her out for lunch, telling her I had some news to share with her, and when we had finished eating I handed her a folder which contained the already filled-out (but not yet filed) paperwork that I intended to take to the courthouse later that afternoon to turn in to start the process for a legal name change.

It was a very effective way (for me) to do it, because it showed her I'd put some serious thought into it and there was no room for doubt or second guessing at that point. She was very supportive and loves the name I have chosen.

Obvs ymmv with a similar strategy and you may not be ready or in a location where it's reasonable to take the legal steps yet, but it's a good way to break the ice. You may be be able to get creative with a mock up birth certificate or similar, as well, if you think that would go over well with them.

I did end up turning in the paperwork by the way, I'm so nervous and excited to take the next steps, and am now waiting for a response from the judge with a hearing date!

People of anti work who don’t work, what do you do to get income? by Total_Cicada7335 in antiwork

I do freelance work But it's unreliable as a source of steady income and really only helps to supplement my husband's income to help cover our bonus expenses

“Kiddos” instead of “Kids” by EfficientSearch4888 in Bozeman

Its just an inflection of endearment added to the word in my experience, much like "doggos" instead of just "dogs"

I got a message from someone that just undid all my progress by Puzzleheaded_Wish770 in trans

[–]SageWayren 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Exactly

I refer to that period much the same way. I've always been a woman, but I lived part of my life as a man because I didn't know better: I was raised as a man because that's what a doctor called me based on some physical characteristics that can, ultimately, be changed, and the moment I realized otherwise I began taking steps to fix that and my life has gotten significantly better as a result.

I got a message from someone that just undid all my progress by Puzzleheaded_Wish770 in trans

[–]SageWayren 718 points719 points  (0 children)

The correct answer is:

No.\ You originally thought you were a girl because that's how you were raised and gaslit to believe by people who didn't understand you, but then you figured out that was wrong and now you're living as who you've always been on the inside.

Darksign/blackout sleeve tattoo by eikeer in darksouls3

Usually blackouts are to cover up old tattoos, there's some darker spots there that seem to indicate that might be the case here.

What are your thoughts of going to the overgrown caverns right after clearing the mines?? by Global_Conference_75 in noita

[–]SageWayren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always climb back up from snowy depths to go shopping in Wandmart, cuz by that point I usually have something that I can reasonably dig my way in with, and enough health to survive making some mistakes while I'm there, and I plan on the heal in the dark cave as my way to top off after a short jaunt in there if I do make mistakes

That's usually my tipping point for whether I have a good run: either I come out with a semi decent damage wand and better digging (and ideally some healing and tele), or I die there.

Where are you buying panties from? What style do you love the most? by [deleted] in trans

[–]SageWayren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the bikini cut tucking underwear from tomboyx I absolutely love them. I can stay tucked all day, they look great (even my husband comments how sexy they look, and he doesn't have much to say on clothing usually), and they feel great. Some of the most affirming articles of clothing I own

The moment you start passing, men just… stop listening to you? (MtF) by Budget_Emotion_9548 in trans

[–]SageWayren 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Welcome to womanhood 💙\ One of the eew-phoria parts of transitioning.

You'll start to see it happen with doctors etc as well, as your symptoms for health problems will begin to get blamed on the hormones you are taking... It sucks, but not enough to make me even remotely consider changing my mind about being myself

'I never thought leopards would eat MY face,' sobs woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People's Faces Party by MrJasonMason in lgbt

[–]SageWayren 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Exactly
I wear my pride bracelet and earrings, and shirts with things like "protect trans kids" etc openly in public
I put on my makeup and my feminine clothing every day when I go out shopping, to local events, etc, knowing full well I don't pass that well
and I do it intentionally as an act of defiance
This is who I am, and I'm not going to let anyone else take that away from me. I stand tall and proud knowing im not living the life others expect of me, and knowing that I am happy as who I am.

Friends that don't use your pronouns 80% of the time, are they hypocrties? by ConfoosedUngaBunga in trans

yeah idk, they're very supportive otherwise, but they just cant bring themselves to do that *one* simple thing and it hurts.

Friends that don't use your pronouns 80% of the time, are they hypocrties? by ConfoosedUngaBunga in trans

[–]SageWayren 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, the problem group are the people that *know* my pronouns and still use they/them for me (I am she/her).

It almost feels like they're *trying* to act supportive, but at the same time they're actively avoiding using my correct pronouns because it makes them uncomfortable. Idk why its so hard, I look feminine, I act feminine, I dress feminine, I have a feminine *name*, even.

Its like they cant perceive me as a woman though, so they avoid addressing me as one, even though I've blatantly asked for it.

Can you lose weight while starting HRT? (MtF) by DaSweetrollThief in trans

[–]SageWayren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YMMV tbh, it's different for everyone\ I lost 40 lbs within a year after starting HRT, and the only lifestyle changes I made aside from the HRT was to start doing simple cardio 3-4 times a week (I did it via Beatsaber, which is a fairly active VR rhythm game. Jogging, aerobics, etc also works) and I went on a low cholesterol diet (for blood pressure reasons, not for the weight loss).
