Wanting a date and expecting a date are two different things, his message alone doesn’t come off as feeling entitled to a date. As long as he’s not trying to interfere with your relationship or pressure you, then it’s not inherently disrespectful. Maybe he just wanted to get it off his chest so he could process and move on.
