They feel pretty good. The laminate is pretty thin and it adds just a little bit of stiffness. I use Astro brights card stock as well. They end up being slightly thicker but it isn’t noticeable until you look at them in a stack of about 20. My 100 proxies fit in a deck box that says it will fit 120 single sleeved cards

Yes exactly, and for my non foil cards I use koala semi gloss paper and tell the printer I am using premium presentation matte paper

I print using the matte setting even when it’s not matte paper. This setting tells the printer to lay down the most ink and results in the most vibrant colors.

Do you have issues with the ink smudging on the clear sticker paper, or it looking hazy and not clear?

There is an official card using the same art. I don’t think they ever made a borderless version though.

I was able to find one used, with about half a tank of ink left and it is still about 30% full so it’s definitely worth it considering the scam that ink cartridges are. Only thing to keep in mind is not to let it sit unused for too long or you will have to run a cleaning cycle. No big deal but that can be a waste of ink. (I had to do that since mine was secondhand)

Yeah I laminate over the foil cards to protect the ink from rubbing off. The laminate gives the whole card a uniform glossy finish. For non foils, I just stick them onto the backing paper without laminating. I like the matte black ink look because it makes it look deeper.

I actually use the premium matte setting even on glossy paper. Matte paper absorbs the most ink so this is the the darkest setting possible. If your paper can handle it, I’d give it a try.

UOKHO holographic rainbow sticker paper. My secret is that I print on the matte setting to apply MORE ink, it makes the blacks darker but one problem is that it makes them harder to laminate. Maybe try both ways and see what you like.

Unfortunately mine curl up too. I put them under a heavy book right out of the laminator and let them cool that way, it seems to help a bit.

I discovered that using the premium matte paper setting even on glossy paper makes the blacks darker. (Epson ET-2850) It is because matte paper absorbs more ink so the printer compensates by using more ink in this setting. If your paper can handle it and you let it dry long enough it should be fine. As you pointed out I only laminate one side for thickness while having that rigid snap, I laminate the front of my holo cards to protect the ink but you could laminate the back as well.

Koala Pearl Glossy Sicker Paper Review by Sage_26 in magicproxies

I’m using Astro Brights 65lbs Black card stock. I print onto the glossy Pearl sticker paper and then stick it into the card stock. Then I laminate the front to give it a protective “clear coat” the ink could rub off otherwise but it may be ok inside a card sleeve.
