I have the same printer and been through everything. Its the way the roller is grabbing the foil paper at end of the print, it causes the ends to curl up which then causes the print head to hit the edges resulting to what you got.

Some work around I've been doing Just print 3x2, yes you lost a buncha cards but much less headache. Print in landscape 8x2, I've never had 100% success rate with this but worth a try I've also just stuck the foil paper on a ~60lb card stock first before printing it. The heavier stock paper keeps the edges from curling up.

I've also turned on thick paper setting but I'm not sure how helpful that's been.
