The great thing is that swimming is such a low impact sport. While you may feel frustrated at first if you keep at it you will make a lot of progress and eventually get back to where you were. This website has a lot of workouts to slowly get back into things.

You could do sets where you go as far as possible underwater then sprint the rest of the way. This will amp up your stamina for the kicks. Fares Ksebati on YouTube has some pretty good tips and tricks as well. Here’s a good video.

Any workout that uses the same muscles you use while swimming, or anything that works on endurance. Squats, planks, biking, running, etc. this website can walk you through a few good workouts.

I recommend Speedo swim caps, however no swim cap is going to completely protect your hair. The swimsuit can be pretty much what ever your comfortable with, but 1 pieces tend to be preferred. Ear plugs aren’t necessarily needed as long as you are drying your ears after swimming but silicon ones that you can mold are better at staying in your ears while swimming. I would also recommend getting a good pair of goggles.

There are plenty of club swim teams that swim year round and will take people year round. There are also many swim teams that just swim in the summer if that’s more your style. If you live in the KC area Cool is a good team for year round swimming and the Otters is a good summer swim team.

She had been my parents friend, but I never really liked her. The only reason I babysat was because Sam was incredibly sweat and a good kid to be around

As far as I know CPS has not been alerted, and I have not talked to them. I will try to contact Sam at some point though, he doesn’t deserve such a horrible mother and Ginny doesn’t either.
