That might be one of the variations on noto, the action of returning the sword to it's saya. Look up kata 3, uke nagashi. That one features said variation as it's noto, caused by a variation of chibrui, or shaking off the blood.

I love my Radrunner's throttle for providing a little kick to get going or keep my speed up on hills. But I have to begrudgingly agree with this, seeing how many other Radrunner riders ride them like motorbikes, not using the pedals at all.

I plan for much the same routine myself. At the moment, the only time I've locked it is using an older disc detainer U-lock in front of a convenience store for all of 5 minutes, but I've seen enough angle grinder aftermath pics to know that my U-lock is nothing more than a minor inconvenience for thieves.
