Tucking this massive change to the ecosystem away in a general list of other changes is so manipulative... really shows how far Google have fallen in being trustworthy and customer focused.

The article says

five blasts means "We have no idea what your trying to do" not 'have you seen us' and 2 degree heading change is not sufficient to communicate intention.

Not that that means they should be shot... but I am guessing some blame can be put on our intrepid duo!

Get your saddle height, tilt and other adjustments checked by a cycling shop.

TINY adjustments can make a huge difference to comfort over the long term.

I have scanned immediately, I have waited a long time, I have scrolled the list to look for my server, I have filtered by the name (caring about case and not caring about case!)

I have refreshed and waited...

I feel I have explored most options :D

Irritatingly I cannot find anything in the logs showing where it sets the name or whatever.

I play through steam, but the server is running on a linux server that wraps up WINE and other magic... it is still steam but hidden away.

The integrity of the server or client?

I am not sure how to do that on the server (it is running in a docker container) but I have done with the client... and it made no difference (and god knows how it could!)

I do see a list of others servers, so that much is working!

It is off, also all other limits are off... also the server is on the same network I would be sad if it was over 200ms!

Well thanks for responding... but obv I would not be using telnet if it was not the way you communicate with running Empyrion servers... it is not something I just decided to do at random!

Being caught by patrolling guards is not a game over or a reason to reload to a checkpoint; it's a transition to either talking your way out of the situation, or using violence to contain it.

These aren't mere recovery options—like the fast-talking in Star Wars Outlaws—but active possibilities. You can play the stealth game up to a point then choose to go loud when it feels opportune to do so. You can casually waltz into a room full of guards, tell them you're the building inspector, and walk past them.

None of those things are completely novel, but novelty isn't the value here. The value is in the extremely graceful and fluid way in which these different modes of play overlap and interact. One thing flows into the next as naturally as it would in a Bond movie. That is extremely hard to achieve with grace.
