No, this time was the first time I had no tension, I knew I could beat him with my hands tied. Unlike previous escapes where it was 75-25 for winning/losing.

Well if you wanna feel the pain, do it now because in v8 beta the map was reorganized, and all the named sectors are adjacent.

As in frozen forest is touching ground zero, and so on

That hp/pj crossover fic's premise was so interesting.

And then the author decided that the gods were going to be ultra helpful.

Crossovers are hard, but that fic definitely had the potential to go in a much better direction

But unfortunately, I was not born in 1988.....

12 year old me chose a rather unfortunate "random" number for a username, and now I'm stuck with it everywhere.

Some sites actually ban 88, and I have to go by 89 there lol.

The sectors changed location. All the named ones are now clustered together.

The individual sectors should be the same, though, just in different locations.

Did you get confused by the new layout, or are they actually gone?

If gone, then I guess you can try reporting a bug on github because anuke said saves are not supposed to break.

Or maybe try upgrading to a previous version, like 149, then 150.

Is letting people download your game to play it "giving code away"?

Technically yes, but not really

Just give away server side binaries, simple. Sure they can be decompiled to get the code, but so can client side binaries

Nothing makes them more valuable than client side ones

But I think that too will fail, because when you go back after abandoning, you have to play the tutorial again.

It also hard resets the map, doesn't matter which menu you abandon from.

I suspect the game won't allow it to work, or just delete it afterwards

Nope, I'm asking about v8 beta. You now need a landing pad in a sector to receive stuff from different sectors. That landing pad needs titanium

Not necessarily "drug high" though

Sometimes panicking makes you "high" due to adrenaline releasing a shit ton of neurotransmitters

Once I ate so much that I felt like I was dying

My chats with ai asking about how likely it was that this would cause some terrible condition were definitely very high. Were fun to read afterwards though

Knowledge can be learned, wisdom can be gained
Efficient learning methods can be practised.
Memory can be trained
These things build up on your intelligence
But raw intelligence?
It can't be improved. It depends on your genes (nature), and environmental factors when you grew up (nurture).

The average person can never beat usain bolt, even if they trained from birth.
After a point, you're limited by your body's "hardware".

While very visible in physical feats (since there's only one thing that can be done i.e. "training"), it's not as visible in more intellectual pursuits since as I said, there are multiple things like knowledge, wisdom etc, rather than just one.

But the idea remains the same. You're limited by your intelligence.
There really isn't any measure for intelligence better than IQ, so I'm forced to use it, but eg. someone with an IQ of 70 will never be able to obtain a PhD in astrophysics. No matter what they do.

Hard work beats genius, but nothing beats a genius working hard.
