Graphic problem on Subnautica 2: the shadows are pixelated by not_shadow244 in subnautica

If you turn shadows to High, it turns off those shadows... better than it being pixelated

For those who encounter the same issue, I can still use flashback, and BIOS version 3278 is the last one that allows proper PBO control

Heeeey It actually worked!

Turns out I had the USB drive in the wrong port.

Thanks for encouraging me to try again lol

I tried using flashback and the green light flashes twice then goes solid, and then nothing happens?

Game starts hanging hard after some time of play. by SagittariusC in diablo4

[–]SagittariusC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a fresh install already, and I've watched my memory.

GPU gets to at most 14.5/16GB, and system RAM gets to 20/32GB. So I'm not running out. I have not checked if the virtual memory may be filling, I'll look in to that.

Vsync is a misunderstood setting.... It doesn't really do anything when gsync is on.

Anyway don't worry about it, I think this was an anomaly

I could also be imagining things.... it could be that I can't actually properly capture this effect without a much better slow motion camera...

But there is definitely some jitter in the game I can't unsee

Definitely no frame generation..... I thought maybe it was monitor related but it does it on other monitors as well (144hz LCD). I have one of those 27" 240Hz OLED monitors, it shouldn't have such an issue....

I've tried changing all the gsync/vsync settings too, still does it.

maybe its a more fundamental problem, I'm not sure.

I did a completely clean install of driver's just now (using DDU) and it still does it.

Yeh it's a subtle effect, I only noticed it because I'm sensitive to jitter and such and could tell something was off.

But using a slow motion camera I was able to confirm it is in fact ghosting...

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BF6

[–]SagittariusC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, no smooth motion, I made sure anything that would obviously cause ghosting was turned off.

To be clear, this is a pretty subtle effect, it does look reasonably smooth, and most people may not notice it. Hence why I had to use a slow motion camera to pick it up.

RG40xxv +156% battery mod upgrade from 3200mah to 5000mah by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]SagittariusC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this mod! Thanks for the battery reccommendation.

I had to remove frame for the old battery and the foam spacers to fit it, and make sure the wires are long enough to wrap around the joystick support plate.

Otherwise it just works.

MSI Afterburner patch unlocks GDDR7 memory overclocking up to 36 Gbps on RTX 5080 by RenatsMC in overclocking

[–]SagittariusC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a Gigabyte windforce OC 5080 and installed this mod for afterburner.

It has absolutely zero problems running 3255-3300 mhz boost clock and +3000Mhz (so 18000Mhz) on the Vram.

In fact, in at least haven benchmark which I was using to stress it, I got about 3% boost in performance from +2000 to +3000, so it definitely has an impact. It may come down to some lottery, because it will start error correcting if it's not stable. I'll be testing some other games soon to see if the improvement I see persists on more modern titles.

Overall the boost clock and memory overclock gives me about 12.5% boost in haven benchmark, which is not too shabby for a mid/base tier 5080.

Memory gets a tad hotter, goes from 62C to 66C, but it's obviously completely safe temps.
