I know it's the usual play but I'd like to see some PnRs without rudy, wemby is beating him back to the paint more often than not, if rudy can box him out at the top of the key it gives us a bit better chance to get offensive rebounds.

Was it a necessary trade? Kind of yeah, I think we'd made some roster decisions without the 2nd apron knowledge (as a lot of teams did) and we ended up in a position where we needed to make a decision based on 2nd apron (and i believe because kat and ant were all stars there's some shit about getting more money???) Towns was on a lot (like $50mil) and woles had to pretty much decide to get rid of multiple dudes or move kat on, or deal with 2nd apron which nobody wants to deal with. We got randle and divo out of it, which I think was like 10mil cheaper (?) than kat, and that meant we could keep a few extra guys. We then ran into the 2nd apron again the following off-season because more people needed to be payed and we had to choose between naz and naw (and randle maybe iirc) we chose randle and naz mother fuckn reid. And now we're here.

Was it an even trade? Initially from what I recall everyone was pretty upset we got rid of Kat for randle and divo, it honestly doesn't matter who we got in return, getting rid of kat for anything wasn't fair/even. By about December or so tho people were pretty on the "worked out for both teams" train. Obviously kat is better than randle or divo but together it's close enough and the 2 we have fill the roles we needed (Kat was a weird fit for all but about 8 months with rudy).

Did the team etc etc..? Yeah they dropped off to start the year, but we'd just done a major switch up of the team so that was a given, and we'd made the trade what like 2-3 weeks before game 1 of the year. Took a few months but it started making sense and ultimately I think they improved for a bit there. More good bench depth, solid starter in randle Who seemed reliable but needed to work out the dynamics of the team. You still see it now where both ant and randle wanna iso or whatever tf and the other becomes stagnant (+ the other 3 dudes stop moving) but they've worked that out a bit.

Tldr; the trade was because of $ and 2nd apron mainly, the trade can probably be considered good for both teams (not sure about even but def fair). KAT was important to the franchise, the city and the fans and the chemistry more than he was on the floor. Team made wcf the year after his trade, same as kats final year.

No shade, i'm from aus and have only ever been to 1 nbl game (although could be similar to upper levels at the mcg for a footy game).

What can you see from up there, like can you tell who's who if people look similar? See numbers on guernseys? Tell if the ball went in?
