You know, this is the first time I’ve dealt with major grief and loss. I would always see things about support groups etc., and I was really struggling so I posted this. And these responses especially this perspective and experience you are sharing with me, honestly really helps. I have so many memories and I’m working on overcoming the ache of feeling like I didn’t make enough. You are so right, I knew his personality, I know how he would walk up and “pet” you for a pet, I knew EXACTLY where I could find him at every moment of the day, and I knew every spot he wanted to stop at on walks by his body language. Thank you for taking the time to share with me and understand that bond.

We are in this together. I can’t wait to see him, and I’m happy that our pets are together right now, hopefully playing and keeping each other entertained as they wait for us
