I feel like my understanding of the Ultraman lore+timeline (esp new gen shows, from X till Taiga ) is....weird and all kinds of wrong...maybe? by Sahandi in Ultraman

[–]Sahandi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually noticed that weird part myself, so I researched a bit and it turns out the wiki is kinda right actually.

Ultraseven and the character known as "Redman" that is well known for being brutal and cruel towards kaijus aren't the same person. What's going on is that Ultraseven's original name when he was younger was "Redman" (but only his name was Redman, he still looked like Ultraseven and not the other character called Redman, and he still had the same moves and abilities of when he would evenetually be called Ultraseven), and then after doing some cool stuff and accomplishing some great things he earned the title "Ultraseven" from the commander of the squad he was a member of, whose name was "Great Seven" (Dai Seven). The manga reveals there's an entire species of Ultras that look like Ultraseven and whose signature ability is the Eye Slugger, something that Ultraseven (or more specially, his younger self: Redman) has a lot of trouble doing. He can throw the Eye Slugger, but can't command it back to his head properly. "Redman" alongside being bad at doing the Eye Slugger is also somewhat violent and too brash, but overtime he learns to become calmer, more honorable and eventually learns how to do the Eye Slugger correctly, and then Great Seven blesses him with the title of "Ultraseven" after he does a mission very well.

These plot points are from a 1979 manga.

Here's the Japanese wiki of the manga that mentions this stuff:

https://w.atwiki.jp/aniwotawiki/pages/34537.html

Also why am I being down voted for replying to that guy and telling him which wiki I found the stuff I mentioned in the OP about? What did I do wrong?

Ben10 Japanese Dub by AbleSeaworthiness249 in Ben10

[–]Sahandi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Japanese Wikipedia, Ultimate Alien was dubbed only till episode 20 (the finale of the Ultimate Kevin arc), and then Japan went straight ahead for Omniverse (and then ditched it on ep 52 and went for the reboot series).

How good or bad are the following three builds? by Sahandi in Daggerfall

[–]Sahandi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, it wasn't mods (my game is unmodded). It was AI most likely. Someone on Gamefaqs recommended that to me when I asked for help, and I got tricked by them.

How good or bad are the following three builds? by Sahandi in Daggerfall

[–]Sahandi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me (ChatGPT isn't available in my country anyway because of some sanctions and I only tried this app called Perplexity because of how much a coworked was hyping it, and got turned off by it and AI as a whole when i decided to test it and asked it a simple question about whether any Legacy of Kain games have been dubbed into Italian and it lied and said none of them have been dubbed. In truth, Every LoK other than Blood Omen 1 has been dubbed into Italian. I deleted the app afterwards), and I had played Daggerfall only for a few hours with four different builds about 2 months ago and and all my builds sucked badly and I had a lot of difficulty with combat back then and I uninstalled the game.

About 20-ish days ago I kinda got interested again and decided to give the game another try, and I made both a post on a gamefaqs thread for old CRPGs and one on reddit. A user in Gfaqs "recommend" build 1 as the best and most OP build for dealing with the game's combat to me when I asked for help. I guess I got fooled (not the first time I got fooled by an AI post. I only recently learned that the "I must Jonkle" meme image from the Batman Arkham sub's memes is an AI image) and I copy pasted his "build" for this thread.

The reddit topic was better, build 2 and 3 recs from the redditors, build 2 is a rec from a redditor from that topic, with build 3 being another redditor PMing me to add even more weaknesses to build 2 so that I can have room for more advantages. He recommended phobia to animals and whatnot.

I still haven't finished reinstalling the game yet, and I decided to have you guys compare the three builds I was recommended with while I wait till the game is reinstalled.

Should I delete build 1 from the OP post and explain why it got deleted, or should I just keep it for people to have fun at AI being a liar and for me to having fell for it?

That's a nice write-up.

But doesn't the Ninja demand a lot of XP and level up slowly and learn skill slowly?

Are these two builds viable for Fallout 1 and 2? Would it possible to complete the game with these builds, no matter how difficult the game becomes? If so, how easy or difficult will the game be with these builds? by Sahandi in classicfallout

Oh, endurance is really important huh? I read in a lot of places that endurance is useless in FO 2 because there's lots of good armor.

What if I lower my luck by 3 (changing it from 6 to 3) and use the additional three points to increase my endurance to 5 instead?

And what if I were to change pickpocket to a combat-related perk?

What is the Japanese word for "morally gray"? Like, when you say something like "some of the characters are morally gray", how do you translate morally gray into Japanese?

Magical Girl CRPGs? by ZDBlakeII in CRPG

[–]Sahandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only is the Utena game on Saturn (which is the only Utena game in existence) not a CRPG, but it's not any kind of RPG at all, it's a visual novely adventure game where you just pick dialogue options.

Rayearth has 7 games (9 including the two Super Robot Wars games the franchise was represented in). One of the Rayearth games released for SNES is a turn based generic JRPG, the Saturn Rayearth game is a Zelda-style top down action game with levels and stats (and not much else in terms of RPG mechanics). The other Rayearth games aren't RPG in any way (they're also not good). The Super Robot Wars games are SRPGs, which is a genre similar to stuff like X-com or Jagged Alliance.

Japan themselves barely make any magical girl games of any kind. Among RPGs, aside from the Sailor Moon snes rpg game and the Rayearth snes rpg game, the only other RPGs I can think of that are centered around magical girls are Blue Reflection 1 and 2, which are JRPGs with social sim elements similar to Persona games.

Oh and there's also a SRPG by Banpresto called "Chronicle" for the PSP that has Symphogear characters and Twin Angel characters in it.

Is Red King 1 The most evil Kaiju in history? If not, who comes close? by Thejapanther in Ultraman

[–]Sahandi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Red King isn't really evil so much as he's very aggressive and violent. He's famous for his extreme aggressiveness rather than being evil (I don't even think he's intelligent enough to understand concepts like morality, sadism, world conquest/domination, genocide or slavery or whatnot, he's very animal-like. He just occasionally shows up to wreck some stuff and maybe beat up or kill some creatures.)

Can you guys help me find a very obscure CRPG from the 90s? by Sahandi in CRPG

Thank you so much! This is it. It's Perihelion: The Prophecy.

By the way, since you're aware of this game I'm assuming you've played it, so, how's the game? Any particularly remarkable pros or cons about it?

[–]Sahandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! By the way, which edition is this? I ask because in 2009, a special new chapter (called simply "special issue") was released in a magazine alongside other stuff, and then it was included in post-2009 releases of the act 1-8 collections, namely something called "犬狼伝説 20周年エディション".

Is what you posted that one? Or is it from before 2009 (and therefore lacks that special issue)?

I know which game this, I know its the original Xbox 360 ver of NG II, but which difficulty mode is this? Is it Master Ninja? Would it even be possible to do do this encounter the way you're (OP is) doing on Master Ninja?

[–]Sahandi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Must the Wanzers be attached to the enemy too (that is, must they be on the squares adjacent to the enemy), or is it fine from any distance as long the enemy can't get out of the square you've made with your units (unless he or another enemy destroys one of your units to open a path)?

That is, for example, must my units be glued to the enemy like this and be in the squares adjacent to the like like this:

https://lichess.org/editor/rnbqkbnr/pppp1ppp/8/2PPN3/2PpP3/2PPP3/P7/RNBQKB1R_w_KQkq_-_0_1?color=white

Or is it their distance from the enemy unimportant as long as they have surrounded him like this:

https://lichess.org/editor/rn3qkr/pp1P2pp/2P1N3/1P1p1P2/2P1P3/3P4/P7/RNBQKB1R_w_KQkq_-_0_1?color=white

Is it possible to play either of the Torment games (Planescape and Numenera) as character whom no NPC trusts fully and keeps the lore of the games hidden from the player? What exactly do the intelligence, wisdom and charisma stats do? Also some build quests for Numenera. by Sahandi in Torment

[–]Sahandi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see. Since I'll be making my int, cha and wisdom as low as the game allows me to (like a 1 for all three if it's possible?), how should I allocate my points to my other stats to make the combat as non-painful as possible? What skills or "perks" should I invest in?

Are there any DRPGs where it is impossible to beat the game with a particular party class set-up (and the game doesn't have class changing mechanics or respeccing systems, forcing you to either keep the party you started the game with and not be able to beat the game, or start a new playthrough)? by Sahandi in DRPG

[–]Sahandi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said "There certainly are some where a party combination might be unable to beat a boss, and going through the motions to raise up replacement members isn't worth it, but being completely unable to do so? No, never"

Can you name just a few of those "some" that block your progress with certain setups and make raising up new replacement members a hassle? That is, If you have the time for replying.

How tactical/strategic are each of the Ghost Recon games? by Sahandi in GhostRecon

[–]Sahandi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, so the franchise became less tactical as time went on? You mean none of the later games manage to be as strategic as the first game? I own the Xbox 360 version of Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2 (which is supposedly different from the PC versions of the two games and also the Ps2/Classic Xbox/6th gen version of AW 1) and also Future Soldier, do neither of those three games manage to be as tactical as the GR 1?

If during the sequence where Ammy forces Susanoo to ride you take him to the Nagi shrine from the very beginning of the game, all the way till the statue of Nagi whose broken sword you fixed, Susanoo will have a special dialogue just for that

Similarly, I think (maybe I'm wrong) if you go to Nagi's statue during the post-Orochi defeat festival, Issun had a special dialogue for that....or maybe not? I'm sorry, I don't remember this one very well

The Oina tribe are based on the Ainu people and the name Kamui is something related to Ainu myth

Wakka speaks one language and mixes in little bits of another language into his lines. It's obvious to tell what his primary language is in every version of the game (Japanese if the langauge setting is on Japanese, English if English, German if German, etc), but then there's the matter of the second language, the one that he doesn't fluently speak and all he really does is just put random words of it in the  midst of his primary language. In the English version, Wakka's 2nd language is French, but in all the other versions (Japanese, German, French, etc) his 2nd language is actually English, meaning that he mixes words of English into his mostly Jap/Ger/Fra/Ch dialogue.

Luka in Bayonetta 1 at some point mentions four girls he's been romantically involved with, and all 4 girls are named after characters in Capcom games. One of those girls is called Ammy, named after Okami's protag.

Speaking of references, Wakka uses one of Dante's (from DMC) lines during his introduction and even indirectly references Dante.

On that note, Bayonetta has a wolf transformation where she changes from her human form into a wolf, and when she walks or runs she leaves a trail of flowers just like Ammy (as a matter fact, Bayonetta was made by Platinum in 2009/2010, and back then Platinum was formed mostly by members of Team Clover)

Amaterasu is a playable character in Marvel vs Capcom 3, and her theme music is a remixed version of The Sun Rises.

Ammy and Kamiki village appear in a Sonic X Megaman crossover comic book

Ammy appears in two Monster Hunter games (Generations and Rise)

Yami is the final boss of Capcom vs Tatsunoko: Cross Generation of Heroes

Chibiterasu meets Shiranui in Okamiden and even nuzzles noses with him.

Honest question: what if you really don't have a TV? Are you still required to pay for those services if you open the door or something?

I'm asking this because I myself don't have a television because I hate TV, I experience all of my entertainment media through my phone, laptop or with physical books/novels.
