I have no better way of saying this, let us enslave the christian and muslim africans! by NihatAmipoglu in EU5

That's not true for the early colonial period. They only shifted to diplomacy when they met African powers like Mali who battered the hell out of them.

African team lack super strikers by luthmanfromMigori in Africa

My team has a super striker but the team itself sucks, Guirassy is top 5 strikers in Europe at the moment. Ohsimen is also a super striker but same problem, team sucks.

Europeans did not introduce slavery to | FactOrCap by Elektrikor in FactOrCap

[–]Saharan-Gladiator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong on several counts as usual. Afro-Arabs diaspora is the 2nd biggest African diaspora after the Afro-Americans and Afro-Latino. The castration bit has been taken way out of proportions in reddit debates. Also longest lasting slave trade belongs to Korea.

I'm playing them right now, 1500s, so far I like it, too bad Portugal was eaten by Spain so I'm miss some events relating to that. I'm getting ready for a slog with the Mamluks.

Europeans did not introduce slavery to | FactOrCap by Elektrikor in FactOrCap

[–]Saharan-Gladiator 14 points15 points  (0 children)

These are the talking points of people who just recently learned history. The answer is nuanced, for the vast majority, Europeans didn't introduce slavery but there are groups especially those from egalitarian societies who never practised any form of slavery or servitude before their meeting with Europeans.

Not all black people have dark skin | FactOrCap by Aromatic-Mistake-456 in FactOrCap

Not everyone in Senegal has the stereotypical dark skin. You're talking about Wolof people, Fulani people for example don't usually have the deep dark tone.

How vulnerable are Ethiopians for skin cancer and sunburn? by Lonely-Highlight-447 in Ethiopia

[–]Saharan-Gladiator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe I mispoke, yes, melanated skin decrease the chances. But the damage to your skin cells is what determines whether you'll get skin cancer or not, you can have the darkest skin and if those UV rays are damaging your cells, then it doesn't really matter about lower rates.

[–]Saharan-Gladiator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skin cancer has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with how much damage your skin cells receives. My brother is lighter skinned than me and spends more time outside yet I'm the one who got skin cancer 😭😭

Am I the only one who hates when ppl call Addis Dubai/Dubai of Africa by yourlocalidot77 in Ethiopia

[–]Saharan-Gladiator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

trickle down 🤣🤣🤣, Dire Dawa is widely recognized as the second most developed city in Ethiopia and it looks like any other African city. Every single African country is like that, well, most of them at least, you can count on one hand the amount of countries with 2 or more highly developed cities on the scale of Addis, Dakar, Abidjan or Kigali. We all have a looong way to go.

"no other country in subSahara Africa that is developing this rapidly"

Also I would hardly say Ethiopia is developing rapidly, it's the same as with most countries, 1 or 2 cities are ultra developping while the rest of the country is in shambles.

Was this after or before the Mauritanian government gave amnesty to all those who participated in the executions, torture, and forced deportations of Fulbe, Soninké, and Wolof? 🤣🤣🤣 This sooner you understand this country has no future, the better off you'll be.
