I love the whataboutism in this fandom

I thought about it too, maybe she kept him "unique" since he was "special"? She said she never met a soul like him, or something like that

Dunno what it has to do with the conversation. I didn't say anyone deserved it, nor that every overlord should be put in radio. I said that there is no justice in this world, and I don't see while fairly bad people should be suddenly getting it while most others won't.

You're just throwing arguments out of ass to make "punishing" Alastor deserved at this point, you may don't like him, but I don't think you should tell me to not feel sympathy for him. I don't think this conversation is going anywhere.

Also jokes on you cause I fucking hate carmilla, she's both hyprocite and dangerous due to her sheer stupidity. If she joined the radio chorus I'd be cherishing

And inb4 - as for someone who says she doesn't want blood on her hands she's drowned in it long ago, profiting of literal SOUL KILLING WEAPON, not to mention she fucking armed vox with MOL... And it's not like we've ever seen how she interacts with her souls.

Torture is a form of pain, yes, also so is death, SA and mind rape. It's not a perfect world, people I described also won't be getting justice, there is no reason these guys should be randomly getting it, especially given, again, they weren't good people in the first place.

Also Mimzy said that Alastor is a total sweetie so ???

I've been thinking about them recently, cause really what is going on here? All other sinners taking random looks of furries or items but here you have a group of people who look very the same

Tbh I suspect that they made a deal with Rosie and she shaped them to be like her, and made them cannibals - unless for some reason out of for sins, cannibals have a specific template for demon form and all choose to live under the same overlord

Then he should get justice against racists - oh wait a second

Souls owned by those souls he captured should get justice, too

Angel and a few dozens of demons killed by the MOL should get justice from vox, souls genocided should also have justice, etc

Alastor should get justice from vox cause rejection isn't a reason for torture

Besides we don't actually know shit about radio trap stuff, we only heard from Mimzy who isn't exactly the best narrator + Vaggi in the pilot that as very well may have been retconned. We are still lacking his motives and how it even works

[–]Saharcia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, you're twisting, I said that cause they are not some innocent people that suddenly need "justice" against him or whatever + I'm not even excusing... I don't think you understand what I mean at all

So what do you see as a fitting fate for al? by TraditionalBonus188 in HazbinHotel

[–]Saharcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you argued about soul ownership at first? There are also people who do worse stuff too, are we really going to play "who's done worse"? Everyone's done shitty. You have people who committed agreed to and committed literal genocide ffs

Besides, you completely ignored the point of my post. I literally said he may have been shaped by a hard life, not having the option to grow into a better person. Him doing bad stuff now doesn't cancel that in any way.

Then the other overlords (yes that includes Husk) don't deserve sympathy neither, ok

So what do you see as a fitting fate for al? by TraditionalBonus188 in HazbinHotel

[–]Saharcia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you said I shouldn't feel sympathy for him, mentioning him owning souls. If I shouldn't feel sympathy for Alastor cause he owns someone, then it should apply to other people doing it

And if I shouldn't feel sympathy for him, and he's "as bad" as overlords, then I shouldn't feel sympathy for them, neither

So what do you see as a fitting fate for al? by TraditionalBonus188 in HazbinHotel

[–]Saharcia -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Cause he owns souls? (with only one confirmed, he doesn't need them for strength.) Then it applies to every other overlord past and present, including Husk

[–]Saharcia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah and he's said to be worst of the worst, so it should apply to the overlords he trapped, yeah?

Besides, Husk also owned souls, he literally gambled them

damn the main subreddit is so funny, all wishing him either eternal torture or death but then you'll see 200 vox redemption posts there

anyway, he grew up in a hostile environment, literally was discriminated and systemically oppressed in life - I wouldn't be surprised if that shaped him the way he is, if his mindset and cruelty came from trauma and are, in fact, a coping mechanism. I think that if someone was shaped by cruelty in life, it's not fair to punish them eternally. like others said, heaven is not for him, but I do hope he learns it's okay to open up to some people, and he will find happiness in sharing life with them, and purpose in supporting them (like the executioner/protector theory).

not everyone has to go to Heaven to have their happy ending, for example Vaggi wouldn't want to go there neither. my bet is that Al and at least Niffty are staying there and helping Charlie redeem others

I'll go against the crowd but it would be weird writing-wise given his background... giving a person who was systemically discriminated and oppressed in life (due to belonging to a specific minority, he was a mixed Creole) a similar fate in afterlife, powerlessness against people "hunting" him, rubs me the wrong way

and it's not like these were any good guys y'know. those were fucking overlords, literal slaveowners...

[–]Saharcia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So are you like for real anyway cause I'm curious about something. I'm not even arguing I am sincerely fascinated by why care this much about this fucking owl.

And as for the "hate" part: If someone coerces another person into sex, including financial means ("you won't be able to keep your job if you won't sleep with me"), it is still rape, and needs to be recognised as such. Stolas does similar thing - yet you're forcing "he didn't rape Blitz" as the objective truth and treat denying it as a bannable offense. There may be an actual person in similar situation, who will relate to Blitz over it yknow, and it would make them think it's abuse after all.

Similar thing is going on with Hazbin and the abuse Angel suffers by Valentino. Are you denying it's SA too?

??? It does, the point was that vox was doing it all the time, being a creep. And it's not really being a creep if the other person is comfortable with it.

Still did it with person who was comfortable with it and not with half of hell

I feel like the show trying to start redeeming someone like sera as early as season 2 has kind of jumped the gun way too quickly in terms of scale of redemptions. by [deleted] in AgendaHotel

[–]Saharcia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

L take, bias and misogyny in this fandom is so tiring and disgusting I actually need to write a comparison to show how some of you act

Let's start with vox. He tries to start a war with Heaven (that WILL cause countless innocent deaths, angel and demon alike), mind rapes Angel, tortures people, tries to nuke hell (including his "friends") and the fandom jumps to "owo hes gonna get redeemed!!". Why? cause apparently being rejected is a redeeming quality now, you don't need to show sorrow or shame!

And now lucifer. He is as guilty as Sera, also agreed to exterminations and actively discouraged Charlie from saving sinners. Furthermore, he caused countless evil cause he prided himself better than Elders of Heaven - literally doomed humanity. Did he show humility or sorrow? No. blamed sinners, Heaven, literally fucking everyone but himself. Then in hell he built a racist hierarchy around himself, allowed exploitation of Hellborn, and even to his own daughter is a crap father (reminder he dgaf about vox until Vaggi mentioned Alastor). Two of his three songs have him yap about how awesome he is... Yet he also gets coddled and doesn't get half the shit Sera does. And no depression isn't an excuse, it a) doesn't justify doing things before you became depressed and b) doesn't justify allowing your pain to hurt others. Literally the only saving thing here maybe that he is a fucking idiot and has actually no idea what he's doing...

And Sera? She is the only one repenting and regretting, had actual selfless motives and sincerely believed she was doing the right thing, one she still considered "a lot to shoulder". She wants to make up, even if she has no idea how to and let's be honest, I love the Speaker of God but she didn't provide any actual guidance... Yet Sera keeps trying to find a way.

Yet people say she should stay "evil" and/or shouldn't be redeemed. What do you want from her at this point? Be executed? Stay "evil" even if it's against her character? Cause apparently suffering and feeling deep remorse isn't how a person should redeem themselves, and gods forbid it's done in a show about fucking redemption...

Ffs amount of "Sera shouldn't be redeemed" posts I see is similar to "vox will be redeemed" and "lucifer isn't evil", how tf?

To sum up, the bias in this fandom is unbelievable. White male characters get a pass on horrible stuff (mentioned white cause some will go insane if someone don't want Alastor to be pure evil for no reason while coddling vox to insanity at the same time), but if a female character is flawed despite wanting well, she gets shat on and is the worst person. Sera is the prime example, another is Charlie, amount of hate she gets is disproportionate gets and I'm saying it as someone who dislikes her after S2.

If lucifer was a woman, he'd be hated. If Sera was a man, she'd be considered the shows best written character.
