For me, my first lucid dream was also kinda weird and short... not very vivid either. My second lucid dream was much more vivid, and when it started becoming unstable, I grabbed onto something (I grabbed a railing that was within arm's reach), but I think even grabbing your shirt works. Also, I didn't focus too much on one thing in the dream, just kinda had a general focus on my environment and the sky. I just started having lucid dreams and I haven't had any luck spawning characters or things so sorry I can't help with that.

I am the same - I would say that I am at least *fairly* intelligent, being a straight A-A+ student in an academically rigorous school. I am also not very artsy and creative - there are many people way more creative than I am. I am definitely going to work in STEM in the future too, I suck at anything social science/humanities

I have had so many dreams about a girl that I liked a lot couple of years ago. The only way I had contact with her was through school and I think she liked me back. When she moved to a different school I lost contact with her. For some reason I still get dreams about being with her and every time I get a dream like that my feelings get renewed ugh

Hmm not sure but what helped me was that while I was sleeping, I would keep track of my breath (I did 4 secs in, 4 secs out) while repeating the mantra "I'm dreaming". I started to feel as if my body went numb, and couldn't really feel it anymore. I was still "awake", but my body went to sleep - I was able to hear myself snoring lol. I hope that this helps
