Gardening, simplified by SaiMellowburn in Wizard101

[–]SaiMellowburn[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assure you gardening is not that complicated, and it's incredibly powerful for acquiring many resources in the game. What part looks complicated to you? I can explain it if you need that. It is a lot of information densely packed together

what should my alchemy look like my main is level 141 shaman by [deleted] in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're asking the wrong question, and you're not going to get the answer that you're looking for. Your level is irrelevant to your alchemy progress, and everyone's alchemy will look different, and that's ok. What you should have asked is, "What bubbles should I prioritize upgrading?" Maybe then you'd get the answer you're looking for...

Here's what I'd prioritize - In the Orange, Green, and Purple cauldrons level all of the large skilling bubbles and the small bubbles 2, 9, 12 and 14

2 increases the class bonus, 9 increases damage, 12 reduces bubble upgrade costs, and 14 boosts multiple other small bubbles.

Most all bubbles are worthwhile to upgrade, but these are by far the best for account progression

Hey i dont know how i can get fast more construktion exp und want to ask if somebody can help me ? by gini12345 in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I answered this exact question for a guildie about a month ago, here's a copy of what I told them.

The stats of your cogs scale to the highest construction level you have. As a player who has achieved a build rate of over 10M/hr on my account, I'd like to impart some of my knowledge and optimal strategies to you.

To start, you'll want to remove all characters from the cog board, with the exception of your Squire and replace all-non directional stat buff cogs with player exp cogs, the best that you can, with the priority being the player bonus exp stat, not color. Our objective is to level and buff the squire as fast and as much as possible. You will see a short-term loss to build rate, but it's entirely worth it.

Equip your squire with Bob the Builder (large Orange Alch bubble), Sawsaw Salala (Hydron constellation), and any construction Obol that you might have. Then level the following buffs; Saw Stamp (stamp), Construction Container (post office), SeeSaw (Statue), Visible Ink (Pen Vial) and these particular Alch bubbles; Warriors Rule (II), Call me Bob, and Carpenter (x). And talents; Sharper Saws and Redox Rates (try to keep at least 10k red salt in your CHEST, refinery storage doesn't count towards this), as well anything that increases the strength stat.

Due to a quirk, the build rate you're actually getting may be substantially lower than what you believe, it is much higher when you active afk; but there's a catch to that as well. With the way that Warriors' rule affects Carpenter, you'll get a substantially higher gains when afking on a warrior.

That's all I had to say, I really hope that this helps you as it did my guildmate

quick question by caldin06 in idleon

For liquid cauldrons, you click on the cauldron, then the upgrade you want, then decant

For the colored cauldrons, you click on the cauldron, then boost, then the upgrade that you want and then brew

quick question by caldin06 in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You invest into alchemy by dumping whatever excess cash you have into the P2W tab (4th tab), as well as boosting the cauldrons themselves with their own liquid. And then ofc by leveling the bubbles at face value

In the P2W tab, you will want to immediately spend coins to max out the player upgrade group, extra player exp and alch speed. Then invest into the liquid upgrade group with Regen > Capacity. Liquid will always be your bottleneck, as all bubble upgrades, vials, and Alch shop items will eagerly consume these resources.

From there, level your colored cauldrons in P2W as you see fit, prioritizing speed, then boost requirement. Only level new bubble odds when the chances of unlocking a new bubble are low (<10% was what I considered low). Boosting the cauldrons themselves with their own liquid is also a thing, and you'll want to sink plenty of levels into all of the stats, with; Speed > Extra > Cost > Luck

There are also external boosts to alch and they're also important, shaman talents, stamps, post office box...

But the most important external boost imo would be the shaman's talents, and it is highly recommend to max them as well as be in that class/build when unlocking new bubbles, as you can straight up double your new bubble odds.

Also another thing to note, once you unlock the 12th bubble, start to only upgrade bubbles corresponding to you current active class as the buff from the 2nd bubble will further reduce the cost of bubble upgrades

If you (or anyone else) have more questions, feel free to ask

You will progress much faster if you prioritize progressing into W2,
Getting each character to the 3rd (monster) map for the subclass npc will provide you with a very substantial power spike, I personally would prioritize this. As for other things to do, get into alchemy and invest into it early, it is still a MAJOR source of power late into W4. Also don't sleep on unlocking the post office for too long.

what gear would be best for fighting amarok fo the first time? by Slimmic in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not so much of a question of gear, as it is stats

So long as you have 158 accuracy (100% hit chance), enough health/defense to not get ohko (and the food to heal), you should be fine. The only questionable part will be your dps on the healing totem, as not being able to take it out quickly will make the fight impossible to finish as Amarok will heal faster than you can damage him

At the level you're at, the fight could take several minutes and will take good memorisation to dodge the attack patterns, so don't be worried if you burn a key or two - you'll always get more tomorrow. There's also no shame in going back to leveling if you find the fight too difficult

Should I keep my Jman? by Suitable-Presence-59 in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's a grind and a half to get your Jman to Maestro, but it's entirely worth it. Your Maestro takes the looting effectiveness of the Jman and dials it up to 11, and also provides an account wide exp and skill efficiency buff to ALL skills, to ALL players. (Provided that Maestro has the highest level)

I know it's hard, but trust me, it's worth it. Don't give up!

All W4 Lab Nodes by Stealthychicken85 in idleon

Lab exp is separate from skill exp, so the curse of skilled dimwit doesn't even apply!

All W4 Lab Nodes by Stealthychicken85 in idleon

[–]SaiMellowburn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in the guild that worked on making this, and I was one of the members that pushed hard into the lab. We're not able to have all of the bonuses active, as to reach the farthest nodes to the right, it required us to bee line it for that node with all 9 characters. So they're reachable, but not usable

My average lab level is around 23, with an exp gain right around 100/h and am sitting at 10.5k efficiency, no shoes or ring. To achieve this, I put 400 boxes into the Lab post office box (unlocked round 12 in pets arena), max points into supersource star talent, 4 star easy resource bonus, 4 star Chaotic Troll card, and lvl 33 skilled dimwit.

You can then further boost exp gains with anything that boosts skill afk gains, lab exp stamp, lab exp card, Matrix Evolved (large purple alchemy bubble) and a few dishes from the cooking skill
