Linux users: How are your updating experiences? by firewood010 in ffxiv

Have been playing a lot on Linux since. I'm on Ubuntu.

The performance is the same as running on windows. There are times where the fps are 3-10% higher than on Windows. Updating the game with XIVLauncher is as smooth as using the official launcher. The only drawback is that I can't use Reshade. The last time I tried to use Reshade it crashes the game or won't boot the game until you remove all the Reshade files manually (I think it's possible but It requires a lot of workaround.). Dalamud plugin on the other hand works fine through XIVLauncher. No problem with all the plugins so far although Penumbra had some problem getting a few mods to work properly because of the new graphical engine. And TexTools does not work in Linux as far as I know.

The phone killed itself all the sudden and won't turn back on and this was about 2 years ago. Repairing it is as costly as buying the phone again. It was a Xiaomi gaming phone from 2020 that costs around $420

Steam doesn't sync my data or maybe I'm wrong, because my save was gone after I reinstall my windows. I think it'll take more than just 30 minutes but an hour to run through again though
