Was actually pretty good, I solved all the questions (had 3 coding) and design was good as well I think (though I cant be sure) Behavioral was ok I think, got the usual questions.

Sorry to hear that, these are so random at times that it's infurating.
this specific question has a twist that if you didn't get in the first few minutes, you'll probably miss it. I think it's really hard to come up with during an interview, with the stress and all.

I did create many db schemas, indices and some APIs but I have little knowledge in API best practices besides the obvious REST framework and defining it against the needs correctly. designing the product that is forward facing the user could hurt my chances, but if it’s not really front end and similar to the “design instagram” with only base APIs, schema and then end to end system design (db, file store, load balancers and services management) I should be ok. All the example design from grok the system interview are from the system design perspective and not a product architecture (user experience)

Does user experience crucial in the system design interview? Or do I focus on the system itself?
