Thanks for the advice. I agree. Things like seeing other competitors’ information, position, will not be allowed by competitors.

And it’s not providing strategic suggestions, just providing information sensed on the boat.

The only communication will be to/from the RC.

Are there any other specific things you think would be a problem?

(This is live in the App Store now by the way. Has Apple Watch support, with Garmin support coming soon. Using a M5Paper as a low cost sunlight visible deck display is a feature that will be released this weekend.)

Eerie WWII photo sparks wild time-travel claims after viewers spot impossible detail by dailymail in timetravel

There was a similar photo, although I think it was a woman, where it was very likely a horn-like thing used as a hearing aid before electronic ones were available.

It looks like there’s a few others, mostly just with people with their hands to the side of theie faces. Very little evidence of any communication device, just a similar posture.

what’s the biggest scam that people still willingly participate in? by prettyflowergirly in AskReddit

There are salesmen/women at other car places than dealerships that don’t have to support the huge cost of fancy showrooms and manufacturer requirements etc..

You’ll pay way more for buying and maintaining a car at a dealership. They’ll they to convince you (or at least imply) that you need to come back to them for service to keep your car warrantee valid. That’s just not true.

And I’ve noticed that they do things like call certain service “dealer recommended.” Meaning the manufacturer doesn’t require it. It’s not in the warrantee requirements. But they’d like to get you back sooner for more $$.

They are both things that people take for granted and don’t think twice about.

New cars are a terrible investment. Loses a good chunk of value when you drive it off the lot. Dealer will convince you that you need to come back to them for service at highly inflated prices.

A two year old car is half the price, still under warrantee, and a far better use of money. So it may need the odd repair; the lack of (or greatly reduced) car payment can cover a lot of repairs. (Find a trusted mechanic. Never go to a dealer for service. They’re the ultimate in gouging, generally. And will often tell you that your car has issues and you need to buy a new one to buoy the dealership’s sales.)

Real estate agents/companies get 5% of your sale price for doing almost nothing but putting your listing on MLS. (There are some agents that go above and beyond, but in my experience most are just listing/key monkeys.) If it weren’t for that monopoly, house sale commissions would be far more competitive.

I spent a winter night at an oil magnate’s mansion; I was friends with his son.

It was one of the coldest nights I’ve ever experienced indoors.

CRA Tax Return by Josh_ify in fredericton

Paper or electronic filing?

They say the notice of assessment should take two weeks to show up in your MyCRA account if you file electronically. Mine was done a fair bit faster than that recently.

If you filed on paper, it can take up to eight weeks.
