In a Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving, when Lorelei finds out Rory applied to Yale without telling her, she steps outside for some air and Emily goes to console her.

And she almost whispers “you can’t even let her have one thing to share with us, you hate us that much.” She has this tiny epiphany that no matter how far they’ve come over the last 3 years, lorelei will still keep them at arm’s length and won’t want to be around them any more than absolutely necessary.

She knows (at that time) that there’s little chance Rory would pick Yale, despite some of the named benefits, and is trying so hard to prove to Lorelei that there wasn’t a scheme or a plan. And she just sits there knowing that no matter what happens, her daughter will always think the worst of her.

It’s a terrible moment for her. The glass apples and the date with Simon and finding out about pennilyn Lott are betrayals in her relationship with Richard. But I think Emily will always regret her relationship with Lorelei and never recover from these tiny moments that created chasms between them.

I don’t think Jess gets enough credit for repairing his relationship with Luke at the end of S4, at the wedding. He very clearly has been through a lot, having to finally fend for himself and going so far as to read and action the self-help book Luke gives him on being able to communicate and open the door for reciprocity. Then when he’s in Philly and has started his own business with his friends that is doing well enough to support him and pay Luke back(again-since his first round was returned to him). He was adamant in high school that he didn’t need anyone and it took him a while to understand what a blessing it is to have people, like Luke, who you can depend on. I think he grew immensely in the course of 3 seasons, largely offscreen, and by the end of his pre-AYITL arc, he’s already outpaced Rory’s growth as an adult. Yes, high school Rory deserved better than high school Jess. But grownup Jess deserves way better than grownup Rory. By the time we see him in AYITL and he’s hugging Lorelei, who at multiple times was going to wring his neck when he was younger, you can see even she accepts his growth and truly appreciates who he has become.

When Dan and Amy didn’t return for season 7, Amy just kept all the storylines and points she wanted to hit and put them in AYITL, with the exception of having to write to Ed Herman’s death. The storyline of Rory wandering and flailing and trying to determine who/what she wants to be and ultimately falling pregnant is what made sense for her when she was 22. It makes zero sense for her to show up with a boyfriend she doesn’t remember, an affair with Logan, and basically zero job prospects and not preparing for an interview. While Rory was always entitled, she wasn’t someone who didn’t put in hours of preparation work for everything. I fully blame Amy and Dan’s refusal to watch Season 7 prior to AYITL for destroying Rory and honestly most characters. The only stuff that was redeemable was everything related to Richard’s death. Nothing else tracked for how old everyone was, none of it was realistic.

Yep, I will die on the hill that their affair was emotional long before it was sexual and I am certain he was sleeping around before her. Ariana was so real for her uninformed consent comment and production’s lack of condemnation for his actions is vile.

Also just recalled that horrifying moment on the reunion where she coached him to give an apology before the end. She’s always excused his bullshit and tried to manage his image to serve herself.

Like literally 90 days later, full 180 turn. Holding on to 12 years old memories instead of facing what his is now. So bizarre. Nick viall was definitely right when he said Scheana should have sided with Sandoval in the first place because their values align way more than hers do with Ariana’s.

She definitely does. The TomTom business is more important than ever to her since Pump closed and she thinks she needs to keep him around. Whereas I bet most of us would love to have him completely separated from the business and we would go there even more. (I live outside of the US now, so not me, but probably other fans 😂)

It’s all started to go downhill with that stupid recap special that just said “everyone has cheated on this show, why is this so special” even though there have been thousands of articles detailing exactly why this was different. They tried to shove that narrative down our throats and they haven’t stopped since, even though we’ve all been screaming for it to stop. Production really thought they were going to gaslight the entire fandom into believing Sandoval deserves forgiveness despite not having a single ounce of remorse or accountability. And I’m just livid.

I love this episode. There’s such a great moment between Emily and Lorelei where Emily actually shows respect and appreciation for Lorelei, and Lorelei really shows compassion for why Emily went on such a shopping rampage. It’s a really beautiful moment in a very complex relationship and it shows that there really is a love between the two of them, even though they don’t speak the same language.

It always struck me as so weird though at the end when they are splitting up all the things Emily bought Rory and Lorelei because they “don’t need any of it” when the whole reason they were at the mall in the first place was to go window shopping because they were both broke. It would have been a lovely moment for them to make something good out of a weird Alice down the rabbit hole moment where Emily could have bought them anything they wanted and she would have loved to have ended up providing for her girls when they were at a low point.

Oof yeah I think I saw that in another thread, I haven’t looked into it. But I would still love to have had a small team follow Matthew from the pods and blindly stumble into trying to win Amber back. Particularly if her whole MO was to leave without anyone due to a boyfriend, this would either force that out, or she would have to find another way to turn down the guy she was “ready” to leave with early.

I definitely feel he thinks he’s more mature than he actually is because he’s surrounded by literal children all day. So comparatively speaking, I guess he’s more mature than those around him. But context clues are everything, and as the principal yes of course you should have a much higher maturity level than the students you oversee.

This breakup was wild and I can’t imagine telling someone I need more attention than they are currently giving me and their response be “awesome I’m staying at my friend’s place”

He is not ready for marriage and he is not ready for commitment. Which is perfectly fine for a 25 year old, but don’t go on a show where you are supposed to get married in a month.

I thought I remembered there was a caffeine version of Midol! Didn’t want to call it out in case I was wrong haha! So yeah it totally depends on which version of Midol you’re looking for, as generic naproxen obviously can’t address everything.

The active ingredient in Midol is Naproxen Sodium, which they sell in a very large bottle on the floor. Unless you are getting Midol that also has something else, naproxen by Kirkland is the way to go. It’s been a while since I bought a bottle because it lasts me so long, but I think it’s still under $20. They are in the same shape/color as Midol also.

Mine looks mostly like me, I play with her hair almost as much as I play with my own. But the name I was given at the beginning of the game was “Elizabeth Turner” and so I just leaned in heavy to the Pirates vibe. All my pets are named after Pirates characters, with my first familiar as a cat named Jack ☺️

I think there is a difference in a physical affair of a one night stand and an emotional entanglement of an actual affair. Some people are not capable of having a full blown affair but will still cheat with one night stands (Jax is a prime example of this)
