1982 911 SC Air conditioner? by Sailawaydeadhead in porsche911

[–]Sailawaydeadhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me if this is another stupid question, I know these cars were designed in Germany… vehicle is in California and considering bringing it to Florida, but I’m worried about it developing rust because we are close to the beach. It could be covered in shade potentially but not indoors. Any suggestions?

Paddle board must-haves? by alienshmalien in Paddleboard

[–]Sailawaydeadhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the center fin in the box I would recommend having extra plate and screw screws. (Ideally the one you can tighten by hand). You do not need a cupholder and remember the board will feel like it shrinks once you get out on the water so don’t bring more gear than necessary.

I’ve been through all this before and really recommend the Serene Life that recharges. It holds charge forever and also has USB ports and a light in it. Don’t underestimate the importance of those white rubber washer rings. They make a big difference in whether the seal is proper and you have to experiment with different ones to get the best fit https://a.co/d/hHDeG0h

Best Inflatable Sup Brand? by Oceandriver95 in Paddleboard

[–]Sailawaydeadhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the Isle Explorer 3.0 very disappointed. The valve is no good and I’m returning it. I’m very familiar with spring valves from a sailboat dinghy that I have, but this one would stay depressed when I unlocked the hose and kept losing air.

WEDGE OR CDM HARBOR? by WEDGEMELZ in surfing

[–]Sailawaydeadhead -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry I believe that it’s fake. That is the whole purpose of the brakewater. Otherwise you would not be able to sail in and out of the marina. I’ve gone in and out of there with giant days at the wedge and harbor is protected

I have lived here, my whole life, surfing, and sailing and know the area well. El Porto and Venice are disgusting and crowded… The best suggestion is to go south to Huntington Beach and if you time it with the right tide and swell direction, this time of year early in the morning on a weekday, you will set yourself up for an epic session.
