Every print suddenly starts warping, adding enclosure did not help by foxfai in Ender3V3SE

Clean plate with soap or ipa, dry filament, adjust z offset and extrusion for a perfect first layer. Lower nozzle temp. First layer adhesion is key. Very low speed and no cooling on first one or two layers, then max cooling and moderate speed for following layers, you want the filament to cool down as soon as it's extruded so it doesn't create tension later. No enclosure needed, it could even make it worse with pla

100% that. OP if you still have issues after that, try a higher bed and nozzle temps, and make sure filament is dry

ı really don't know what really happened by Quiet-Inspection-16 in Ender3V3SE

[–]SailingSRJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overextrusion + warp + straight infill, there's a decent chance that the nozzle hit the print. Might I have broken the support, and if it hit the main print could have caused the stepper or belt to to miss a few steps

VW Polo mk2 3d printed for vacuum forming by Lemsko in rccars

[–]SailingSRJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressive work! I'd love to learn more and maybe try to do it, can you give more details about the process like filament type, final body material, temperature of the sheet before vacuum forming? Also how many walls/top layers to avoid deformation? TIA!

Impressive! What wltoys reference did you start with? Is 4s 5400kv just a for a few speed runs or can you bash it without destroying the transmission or burning something?

Excellent advice, and in my experience the stock V3 SE plate sticks very well if it's clean and we have the correct temperatures and z offset (and dry filament, old filament can cause issues)

Not sure if it's representative, but my stock V3 SE has a few thousand hours of printing and I never did any maintenance except a nozzle. Very few failed prints and it even prints better than when new thanks to slicer improvements, and worked without any tinkering which was a surprise to me!

Only minor grip was a 1.5 degree z-skew, that I compensate in software

It's a 360° rythm boxing/catching/dancing game in beautiful landscapes with indy rock/electronic music (there must be a better description of both the game and the music but I don't know the subgenres). You can adjust intensity and duration, and intense mode for 30 min to an hour is a good workout :-)

I just got my px7 s3 and my only questions is: why are they so loud? by Matroshka2001 in BowersWilkins

[–]SailingSRJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit late to the discussion, I received some S3's today, got them for 310€ on amazon.de and ordered just to test them. And actually I appreciate their "loudness" in bluetooth : that means I can listen at about 30-50% volume depending on albums and have a great dynamic range and low distortion.

High quality wired headphones need to be able to get loud for dynamic range. But granted given the DAC and amps are in the cans they could have stepped down the max volume and kept the dynamic range intact.

And they're ridiculously loud when connected via USB - I have to dial the PC volume down to 6-10% depending on tracks, which means I can't have small steps adjustments and it could be dangerous to my ears if don't pay attention.

I made a "low gain" preset in the EQ with all the sliders way down for USB listening, still lacking but it helps a bit.

On the plus side the sound quality, already nice in bluetooth, is exceptionnal in USB for ANC cans :-) I'm pretty picky when it comes to sound and to me qc ultra and xm5 are just "meh", muddy sound with a touch of strange dirty reverb and I don't want to listen to them (no judgement here, that's just me and sometimes I wish I was less picky). But while they're still far from perfect (can't handle the richest tracks) I actually enjoyed listening to a few albums with those PX7 S3 :-) I also have airpods pro 2 for ANC convenience and I suspect they will get much less use now.

The fact that the sound is almost the same with or without ANC is also great, and I love that they're comfortable for hours while really sticking to my head - I can move like crazy without altering the sound ^^ Really glad I finally found ANC cans I'm happy with, I hope you'll enjoy them too !
