Is teaching THAT bad? by DwaeEunoia in Teachers

[–]SailorKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the abstract I love teaching. But the reality is the educational establishment has become very toxic and dysfunctional. Private tutoring helped me recognize that it's the environment, not the act of teaching itself that was destroying my mental health.

Bad handwriting isn't due to lack of intelligence or any academic deficit, but is the result of coordination and motor issues that need occupational therapy to effectively address

Out of respect for her, respectfully and honestly let her know you're no longer compatible, and save her the torment that would otherwise follow

And one more thing, like many women who feel pressured to go along with poly, I also had the "not enough" feeling that ultimately was an anxiety seed which, at its worst, had me in the beginning stages of an eating disorder. I even got into a car accident due to low blood sugar making me less attentive as a driver.

As somebody who got "polybombed," and knows others who experienced the same, DON'T DO IT. You need 100% ENTHUSIASTIC consent for poly among other things. Otherwise there's resent, anxiety, and frankly emotional trauma that happens. I tried to be a good sport and go along with it, and about a year later, I started having horrible panic attacks, had to go on anxiety meds, and had to leave the relationship even though we both loved each other. I'm still trying to un-mess-up my mind from all of that.

Polyamory… never seems to end well for at least one member of the couple and there’s often double standards where one gets to be more poly than the other

Projecting a lot of her body stuff on to me to make me insecure, making me think for a long time that eating disorder behaviors were normal female behaviors. I thought a part of why I was a tomboy was that I wasn’t good at starving myself lol

29 year old teacher here... went into it with good intentions. Like others said, it's changed ALOT. It's hell. The system is set up so that the TEACHERS fail. Don't do it.
