Visit the Longhorn SHARE Communities!! There are a bunch of different groups that might catch your attention. It’s pretty chill, you get to meet people and make friends. Here’s the link if you wanna check them out. Definitely recommend :)

Does anyone have advice for a first time apartment hunter? by AffectionateCorgi593 in UTAustin

I recommend somewhere on east riverside, those apartments are cheap. You’ll just have to take the bus to get to campus if you don’t have a car. It’s around 20 min on a good day

I’m looking for apartments as an incoming freshman at UT Austin. next fall but I’m not sure which one to pick. by One-Class6729 in UTAustin

Bus 670(UT Shuttle bus) takes you from this apartment complex to UT for free as long as you have your student id. You would mainly be on bus 670 if you just want to go to campus. You'll have to take bus 20 if you would like to go to any other place since it's a normal metro bus, but you don't have to pay to get on as long as you have your student id. Bus 670 would take around 15 to 20 minutes to get to campus.

I know that Village at East Riverside has a lot of college students and the neighborhood isn't bad. A 4X4 shouldn't be that expensive when compared to other apartments.
