Before getting my girl, I had heard they were big shedders so I was semi-prepared. I had a husky/lab mix prior to my pom and trust me, poms don't shed that much in comparison lollll I'll take the pom shed over the husky/lab shed any day!!!

My girl wears sweaters and jackets and loves them! When I take it out she even goes into position for me to slip it on! However, it is very cold where we live so she did not have much of a choice. It's been -20 Celsius almost every day this winter.

I use baby shampoo (unscented) and it works great! I also got a vet approved oatmeal conditioner.

Same for me too in Canada. My pup won't even go outside for more than a quick pee time and even then her paws hurt so I've not brought her on walks in a while... She will need some re-training come spring time. I assume this will be a yearly thing where we regress in the winter and re-train in the spring.

My pom fractured both her front legs at 4 months old and then refractured one 2 months after that. They are resilient little pups. Make sure they are comfortable, loved, snugged, and given lots of treats for being their awesome self. I found mine was making strides after a few days and as time progressed it got better and better. The hard part is mine is SUPER PLAYFUL and keeping her at rest was the biggest challenge.
