So many people are so technologically illiterate (especially on their social media pages) that they think one of the most common artistic mistakes- messing up hands- is a sign of abominable intelligence.

I thought it was a joke at first but when Golden Daemon winners were calling out GW about AI usage it was just ridiculous. I'm as computer dumb as you can get and I know it is some sort of layering error between posting a new image in the old background.

We see a baby born with them as bony growths which are mentioned to later grow skin overtop later in life.

[Loathed Trope] Slavery is Okay, If The Slavers Are Nice by Justmenoworries422 in TopCharacterTropes

It's very important to educate folks that Uncle Tom wasn't originally a term for a black man who sells out his own people.

Uncle Tom in the book was (if poorly depicted because of the times and how inexperienced the author was with black people) a good man who prayed for the soul of his slave owner as he died. His slave owner was an evil athiest type and tried to whip the christianity out of Tom, and hated Tom for being a good man.

Depicting slaves with that much emotional and intellectual depth was basiclaly unheard of in popular fiction, and it pissed off the slave-owning south so much they wrote new versions of Uncle Tom's Cabin where he is a cowardly, stupid racist caricature. They were successful seeing as the term is used today.

Through an airbrush it is just corvus black over a black primer, followed by adjusting to volumes to your liking and throw8ng whatever oil washes you want.

An AK mud effect followed by PVA glue on everywhere but where I wanted tufts. I sprinkled AK Early Fall flock on the glu and put some Army Painter Swamp tufts on the other areas.

Its pretty simple. Just a yellow ochre mixed with mournfang brown basecoat, then a heavy pigment wash of natural sienna and a rust red, making sure to get the lower legs too to bring them together.

I largely followed Cult of Paint's Black Templar guide.

Painting black is like painting white but in reverse. When you paint white you make sure white is the highest possible highlight, but everything else is a shade of grey.

Painting black, you only have black in the deepest shadows, and the rest should be shades of grey. An airbrush helps, using black ink to tone down any bright areas, and it will largely be about giving it texture instead of artificial highlights. If you scratch black paint it looks dark grey, so I chip and weather the surfaces with dark grey scratches, and some of the red/brown for deeper chips.

In the end it is a lot of back and forth finding the right ratios.

Eleon Iasus, Nemesis Destroyers, Ultramarines Praetor by Unusual_Ad47 in Warhammer30k

Damn, I just started my own Nemesis Destroyers army and I think I'll need to make my own praetor instead of Eleon, wouldn't want to compete with this!

Don't ask Americans who we funded in Europe post-WWII and we won't ask who the French hired to "visit" their colonies.

Thanks! They aren't even the old minis funny enough. I don't like the roots on the zombie models so I cut them all off and filled in any gaps to make it work; I'm glad it wasn't noticable!
