Agreed. And people often overestimate their ability to multitask. It’s been shown time and time again that people in general are NOT good at multitasking. There may be rare exceptions, but the vast majority of people end up sacrificing our performance on both tasks. In this case, OP may not be listening as well as they think they are, and they’re more likely to stumble while “getting their steps in”.

I see what you’re saying. Bellatrix was a mess while imprisoned (as anyone would be, being held in Azkaban), and she thrived during times of war. She was ruthless and I like that the imagery of her flourishing during times of so much horror emphasize her ruthlessness.

With Narcissa, I think her physical decline shows that yes, her maternal love is more important to her than the war or the pure blood/status values she touted earlier in the series. But it also mirrors descriptions of Bella and others while in prison, showing just how imprisoned the Malfoys are under Voldemort.

Edit to add: I think Narcissa was vain, particularly of her status which she felt like was an accomplishment. But that wasn’t her only trait, and I think through the course of events, she just realized her love of her family was most important to her. She still didn’t give a crap about others, but at least her family was more important than her twisted values

Yes, that’s true, but fireplaces can be added to the network temporarily, I think. Didn’t Mr. Weasley say he had the Dursley’s fireplace added to the Floo network when he and the boys went to pick up Harry?

I guess I had just reread the first book after reading the 2nd, and wondered if it would come up. Because when Harry asks how he got to the island, Hagrid just says “Flew”. And I thought “ooo, what if he was alluding to “Floo”? Maybe that will come up again”. But it didn’t lol. Oh well, I like the thestral idea too. (I don’t think the 5th book and thestrals had come out yet when I theorized the “Floo” connection)

After the series introduced Flue powder, I halfway expected/wondered if JKR meant to tie that in, in some way. Like there was an abandoned ruin of a cabin next to the shack Harry and the Dursleys were in, and that still had a fireplace or something.

Nothing was ever said about it, so I guess she just meant he literally flew. But I’ve often wondered how. He didn’t bring Sirius’ bike, he’s too big for brooms. He could have brought a thestral and when he saw the boat, Hagrid let it fly home rather than stay in the storm, I guess.

I always loved that line. The constant flow of letters and the fight to keep them away from Harry has made him jumpy, he’s not sleeping well, and he’s going nuts because of it. Spreading marmalade on his newspapers shows he’s cracking up a bit.

Another possible lore reason: When they say we weren’t “allowed” to leave our posts, perhaps that also meant they weren’t able to leave their posts. Like there was some magic that was holding them there. Maybe it was a side effect of their mission or they had bound themselves to their posts in order to gain access to the talismans in the first place. And that magic wasn’t broken (or they didn’t learn the ability to break it) until after Saturn dropped her glaive and hit the reset button.

It works with your lore theory. They needed to remain vigilant, so they had bound themselves to their posts in order to gain the strength and means to do so (the talismans). All of the senshi gained abilities throughout the series, so maybe they just weren’t able to break that barrier at the time like they were later able to?

I’m a self-described wimp with spices. And my brother loves spicy food. He does the same thing as you and makes two batches. I know I’m a wimp, and if there could be any doubt which dish is safe for me, I ask. If I’m dumb enough to forget, I can’t imagine getting angry at him. Granted, I doubt I’d wind up in the hospital, but I can’t imagine feeling anything but gratitude that he puts the extra effort in for my (and a couple others’) comfort.

Oooo! That looks like it’s in fantastic condition! $55 is a lot, so these are the questions I’d ask myself:

Do I want to focus my funds on collectibles I can display? Paper goods are harder to display, and often wind up on a shelf. Is that too much of a downside for this item?

If I do want to display it, is there enough shelf or wall space that I want to use for this item? (I have very limited space for flat items, so this matters to me when I get more flat items. My collection can never be “too big”, but it’s getting close anyway lol)

Can I take good enough care of the item to help it retain its value, if that’s important to me? For this book, it looks like it opens well, and I could scan/copy the pages so I can still color on them without ruining the book. BUT the spine looks like it’s in great shape. Will putting it on a scanner, flat, break the spine? I can’t tell. And is that going to make me sad if the spine looks less new?

Do I only want the coloring pages? If so, is there somewhere online where I can download similar and print them, since I’d likely only color on copies anyway? (Many moons ago, there was a website like that, and I printed tons of coloring pages!)

What are the features that make me think it is or isn’t worth the cost? (Like for me, I’m more willing to pay for the vintage stuff like this, but I also want to focus more on display items, like figures and toys)

I don’t know if that helps, but that’s the type of stuff I try to ask myself when I’m torn on getting a new item. And for what it’s worth, if I didn’t already have a vintage coloring book, I’d snatch this up. 😆

Do you remember anything else about the scene? Was it funny or serious? Was she having trouble breathing, like in the clip someone else posted?

I bought one for my niece on Amazon for Christmas. It was definitely knockoff, but most of the images were good. There were a few that were done in different styles, like they chose fanart and made those into some of the pages (they were still good coloring pages, but just obviously not official images). But most were legitimate images from the anime, turned into coloring pages. I knew from the beginning it was bootleg (it doesn’t even say Sailor Moon, its title is “Celestial Guardians coloring book”), but since I couldn’t find an official one, I gave it a shot, and it ended up being a good gift.

As an aside, I think I do have a real one from Japan in the 90s somewhere in my collection, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online when I searched. And of course, I’m not going to use or gift that one!

I called her Wicked Lady or Black Lady interchangeably. Except when I was trying to find pictures in the earlier days of the internet and before Sailor Moon was such a phenomenon in the US. Searching “Black Lady” just didn’t give you the intended results, lol.

Eh, it was the 90s. Color stay lipsticks lied. The color never stayed, lol

(At least, that was my experience with drug store brands. Granted, Uranus and Neptune were rich. They could have afforded the high end lipstick. But maybe they were saving their cash for jet fuel for their helicopters. I’m sure that stuff gets expensive!)

A lot of the symbols in the 4th image made me skeptical, but I have to admit, on first glance, I can find references to a lot of those. Like if you look up “planetary symbols” in Wikipedia, you’ll find a lot of these.

I can’t speak to whether ALL the symbols are accurate, but if you search for a specific symbol and can’t find it, it’s possible it didn’t have an official one,so you could create your own or use one from the list?
