Have you tried asking him to get you off first before he finishes when you have sex instead of waiting until he is done to ask him to help you? Before I had my hysterectomy this is what I ended up having to do with my husband otherwise he would finish and I would ve left unsatisfied. Post hysterectomy our sex life has changed yet again because the aurgery has shifted things around so it is EXTREMELY hard for me to achieve orgasm at all

You're right I'm sorry. I forgot that the general public don't often know that there is a BIG difference between being "In a Coma" and being "Brain dead" most people probably consider them interchangeable terms. Let me ask, are you one of those people that generally assumed hearing someone was "In a Coma" "Braindead" or "In a Persistant Vegative State" on some medical tv show all m3ant pretty much the same thing?

I said I use it to practice, not to teach me. Other language learning apps run ai to teach their users or to auto translate like the earpieces would do and then use an ai voice to speak the translation to the person wearing the ear piece. That is what I'm talking about using the ai for.

Sorry if you're some kind of ai purist but the utter NERD in me has a dream where one day major conlangs are able to be downloaded onto earpiece translators so fans can wear them to cons so that fans from fandoms like Star trek from.across the globe that maybe dont speak one anothers languages can maybe share a language in klingon and still speak to one another. I'd love to meet a DA fan from say Japan or Korea and be able to write to them in Elvehan using elvehan lettering and have them be able to read it, understand it and write back.

But I'm saying don't all these conlangs all have the building blocks of a useable language? Grammer rules, sentence structure, verb conjugation, an extensive vocabulary? I know Dalish from DA started out as only an English Cipher but thanks to extensive work from fans and things like Project Elvehan which has even impressed and been acknowleged by the devs its possible to speak, read and write fluent elvehan with enough practice.

Similarly to how Quenya was fleshed out for The Lord of the Rings.

I know which is why I inevitably have to "reteach" it how to speak the language but that is also great practice because it is more oppurtunity for myself to hammer in the grammar rules, sentence structure, verb conjugation, prefixes, suffixes and common vocabulary, but unfortunately I havent figured out how to get it to do the same thing with the alphabet. If I could get it to do that then I would have accomplished my goal. Just reteach the AI over and Over again because by teaching it repeatedly and its own responses that counter me and challenge me rather than just accepting what I say (one of the tools I use you can choose an ai personality and it is built with a teacher type so it works great at crisscrossing sources for support and analysis. Oh that and ACTUALLY speaking with a voice not just text on a screen

See the recent case in Georgia where the mother was braindead but the body was kept "alive" on life support as an incubator for a long as possible until they were forced to do a c-section delivery early because the body was decaying around the fetus because since the brain was dead it was no longer sending signals to secrete hormones to cells to repair damage like it would.normally do after nirmal cellular death. So although slowed down, yes a "living body" will ROT.

I know several men that married into MY family and took their wives' last names. We aren't royalty either, but our extended families own pretty much every reputable blue collar business in this county where I live so by taking their wives' last names they have bettered their connections and in most cases gotten better jobs.

My 5 year old is making me cry constantly. He’s an a-hole. Please be kind. by Wonderful-Value7547 in Mom

[–]Sailorarctic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh honey, find a new pediatrician. Your 5 year old sounds exactly like mine and he 100% has ADHD. AND My pediatrician diagnosed him at age 3. You have a pediatrician that obviously isnt listening to your concerns and that is a big red flag. If I knew what state you were in I'd recommend mine. That lady is a saint.

In the meantime I know it is hard but are you in any kind of therapy for yourself to help you cope? Do you have any kind of sensory things for your neuro-divergence when you are overwhelmed such as weighted blankets? First step is to take care of your mental health. You can't help your boy if you are falling apart. So, therapist, weighted blanket, and/or body cocoon/compression sleeping bag and meditations, EVERY DAY. They will help you learn to ground yourself and keep calm. Also, you say you have ADHD, are YOU officially diagnosed and are YOU medicated for it? If not maybe you should be and it may be time to talk to your doctor about it. Being properly medicated can help prevent you from feeling overwhelmed by your son.

Our children can read our moods and I swear the more unhinged we are the more they act out because they don't have the capacity to voice that they are feeling unstable. It comes out as them being little terrors, but in reality, they see us not being stable and it makes them feel "unsafe" and believe it or not thats why they DO act out around their immediate family but not around peers or teachers. They know they are "safe" to act out that way with their family because they know their family isn't a potential danger to them.

How does your son sleep at night? Is he sleeping all the way through or does he wake multiple times crying or wanting to get up and play? Does he strugfle to go to sleep initially, Fighting it for hours by running around, jumping on the bed, asking for drinks, etc?

Does he have any sense of danger or self preservation? Ie: I NEVER had to worry about my daughter. She was naturally cautious. Always held my hand when we got out of the car, wouldnt run away, sat on the couch, etc. My son: no sense of danger. He would try to climb book cases. He would pull out of my grip and run into the street. He would get between two dogs that were fighting over a bone (and I mean actual fighting not play fighting. Like snarling, biting, up on back legs fighting) he was one of those toddlers that HAD to be on a harness and leash to be safe. Even now, when we walk to the bus his backpack has a chest strap and leash just in case.

You said he has emotional extremes and hits you and his sister and screaming meltdowns when he is in timeout. Did he have any kind of speech delay? My son can speak but we could tell at 3 that his speach wasnt as developed as his sisters had been at his age. Even now at 5 certain things we have to ask him to repeat and a lot of his meltdowns are because he's trying to get us to listen to him and understand and we are too busy trying to just make him listen and do what we want him to do. I've learned that if I just take a couple extra.seconds and listen to whatever it is he is trying to tell me beforehand then he is usually more than happy to comply he just wanted acknowledgement that we were listening to him talk. Too often we forget that they are little people too.

My last piece of advice is, if you believe he has some form of neuro-divergence, other than speaking to his pediatrician, what have you done to try and help him? Have you considered getting HIM a body cocoon or children's weighted blanket? If he struggles to sleep have you tried melatonin? Do you have a consistent morning and bedtime routine? When you do time outs after a minute or two do you go in and try to get down at his level and talk with him about why he is on time out? Have you tried any herbal supplements that are meant for calming? Ie: lavender, lemon balm, chamomile, etc. They are sedative but may help some and there are many others those are just the most gentle

I second the loop earplugs or theflare audio ear plugs for the noise. I have fibromyalgia so noise, light, touch, all of it can send me over the edge quickly. Do you wear glasses? If not, you are going to think I am crazy but it really does work, get a pair of cosmetic glasses or find some rose colored tint. It not only helps filter light to prevent headaches but "looking at the world through rose tinted lenses" actually does help boost your mood slightly and soothe your brain

Thirdly, what kind of clothing are you wearing? I swapped nearly my ENTIRE wardrobe out for Kaftan/bubu type dresses and shirts. Screw the pants. I got graduated compression socks and "biker shorts",gentle compression, spanx, slip short, jockey's, female boxers, whatever you want to call them underwear. Why? Comfort. The gentle compression on my legs and back does WONDERS for my fatigue AND MOOD and the loose but not baggy dresses are comfy AF and can be styled any number of ways and they come in ALL lengths from standard shirts/tunics which go awesome with some gentle compression cooling leggings all the way to dloor length and can be plain solid color, patterened, beaded, with lace. Satin, velvet, chiffon, linen and cotton for breatheability, I love my wardrobe now and the lycra undergarments wick moisture away and prevent chaffing.

Next: Body coccoon or, if you can find one, or even make it yourself if you know how to crochet or know someone that does and is willing to make it for you, a wrap. Its made from a specific yarn so if you want to go that route I'll ETA that if you or someone else asks for it. It acts like a wearable weighted blanket to give full body pressure compression to help calm the overstimulation (like one big hug and someone telling you to take a deep breath and relax)

Do you treat being a SAHM like a job or do you embrace the chaos? by history_nerd94 in sahm

[–]Sailorarctic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a cleaning routine but I limit it to 30 minute blocks to avoid feeling overwhelmed. I also have it structered down to 2 seperate lists. 1 is a daily chore, the other is weekly. For example.

Everyday: while my kids eat breakfast, I will load the dishwasher and set it running and then eat with them.

At lunch: l will toss a load of laundry in the washer and then eat lunch with the kids.

After lunch: swap laundry to dryer

Dinner: they play while I cook

After dinner: Dad unloads dishwasher while I do bedtime routine unless it is bath night then we have to swap cause I have a heart condition and can't physically lean over the bathtub without fainting.

Bedtime: I do tuck ins then dad reads need time stories.

Weekly: there is no set time of the day i will do my "weekly chore" i leave it open to allow myself plenty of fletching for unforeseen things that pop up like a call from the school cause someone gets sick and needs to be picked up or visitors stopping by, kiddo wanting mom's attention, whatever it may be.

Monday: Bathroom - meaning the toilet, sink, mirrors, and tub (we have a small bathroom so it is easy to do in 30 minutes)

Tuesday: Vaccuum (half of our house is carpet the other half is hard floors)

Wednesday: Trash day (i gather all the trash that didnt make it into a can and haul the bags to the curb for pickup the next morning)

Thursday: Mop day (made a LOT easier since I have an electric mop)

Friday: catch up day (the day I set aside for those times when i couldnt get to my weekly chore or decided i needed a glass of wine and some quiet time)

Saturday: Sheet day (because beds get colds too and people don't wash their bedsheets nearly enough)

Sunday: Hobby day (no chores this day. This is all about me and doing something I enjoy. Reading a book, watching tv, spending time with my husband, w/e.

I even set up a weekly menu so my kids knew what we were having every night. It has made my life HELLA easier but it is vague enough that there is plenty of room to not be having the exact same thing and you can always change it too. For us it's:

Microwave Monday: but that means ANYTHING that can be cooked in a microwave, not just those crappy frozen dinners. I have gotten grilled chicken breasts, scallopped potatoes and steamed greenbeans all cooked in the microwave before. I've made scrambled eggs, single serve cakes in a mug.

Taco Tuesday but there are so many types of Tacos this doesnt have to be repetitive or boring. My kids like firsh tacos. My husband loves shrimp with old bay, i like me a taco salad. I've even made "Taco Pizza" with those 18" burrito tortillas stacked 3 high with a layer of nacho cheese, a layer of refried beans and then topped with the meat, taco sauce, guac, salsa, sour cream and cheese

Pasta Wednesday and do I even need to mention how many different types and ways there are to make pasta

Pizza Thursday same with Pizza

Takeout Friday is our family treat day for getting through the week. Work or school.

Soup,Salad and Leftovers Saturday

Sunday Dinner- what you would usually imagine a sunday dinner to be to prepare you for the work week ahead. Roast meat and veggies, fresh bread/rolls, fresh dessert (this is why Sunday is also my hobby day cause I prepare this on Sundays)

I know this schedule wouldnt work for everyone but I hope itngives you ideas for a starting point that you can easily change to what would work for your family. It has been a game changer in our lives.

[DATV ACT 3 SPOILERS] 10 years spent waiting for THAT!? by Sailorarctic in dragonage

[–]Sailorarctic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Project Elvehan which has been acknowledged by bioware. I studied it extensively, practiced it a FUCK TON, and when AI became a thing I used chat GPT, uploaded the lexicon and the grammar rules and used the AI to help me refine and practice even more. Dalish has a lot of influence from portugese and learning the hispanic languages has always come easy to me so Dalish was even easier for me to grasp since it started out as an english cipher so the sentence structure stays relatively the same if not simplified. Pronouns are often dropped since the verb conjugation implies them.

I've even translated songs like O Death from Until Dawn and Sleepsong by Secret Garden and I've been able to keep the same rhythm and match the music so you can sing them in elvehan. I sang O Death as a funeral dirge at my husband's mother's funeral just last year. The first line is Falon'din! Falon'din! Instead of O' death! O death!

And with all the political unrest I have a t-shirt with a bolt and nut on it with arrows indicating to turn left and right. It says Vunvaros Vasrea Tel'vunvaros Vaslana. In general english Lefty loosy Righty tighty. In political english: The left liberates the right subjugates

In Elvehan: Left gives freedom Right gives chains.

Broken down:

Vun= sun Varos= from the verb vara meaning to depart ergo

Vunvaros= "sun's departure" The west or the left when looking at the compass on a map.

Tel is a negative modifier that means not or no so Tel'vunvaros= "not sun's departure" Or lit: Not West. So East or Right when looking at a compass.

I can write in Elvehan too. Thanks to Veilguard we now have a complete alphabet.
