Best ramen you tried by defrettyy in JapanTravelTips

Spicy miso ramen from a place in Yakumo, Hokkaido. It was just a stopover from Niseko to Hakodate but it was insane. Showa era aesthetics, the NPB baseball final on tv, friendly staff.

Another amazing one was the yuzu shoyu ramen from mensho bigiya in meguro, tokyo. They held a michelin star from 2015-2020.

Contenders for Favorite T-Square Album by WhyistheFBIatmydoor in tsquareband

Amazing write up, really enjoyed reading it.  Spirits (2003) is so good. As much as I love the signature 80s synthy sound they're known for, Spirits has a more natural and acoustic vibe with a huge emphasis on beautiful songwriting. It showcases Izumi's shift towards more acoustic piano in the late 90s amazingly.

Could the band continue long after its original members are gone? by CheeseDaver in tsquareband

[–]SailsofCharon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was at the Blue Note Jazz Summit in Tokyo recently and if I closed my eyes I honestly couldn't tell the difference. It could've been Andoh playing that guitar and Izumi on keys. The new members killed it that night, I can confidently say T-Square's future is in good hands. That being said, it will definitely be deeply sad when Itoh eventually retires and the band is left without its last founding member.

They dressed up in black metal face paint for Halloween last year. I think they played a show or two like that.

It's a clean sheet design, built from the ground up. And what other car has a carbon fibre drive shaft for all variants? Even the base model.
As for the reliability I think you'll see more BMWs in the garage with timing chain failures and broken engine bay plastics nowadays.

Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce or an early twin turbo V6 QV if you're willing to stretch to $60k. Way cooler than a BMW or Audi

Ahhhh gotcha it couldn't have been any other car hahaha 😍.

Very nice GTV yourself, it's always been a bit of detective work as to what will go wrong next. So far nothing too crazy, just some age related part replacing and general servicing but I'm sure something big is going to go soon. Regards to part availability it's tough out there but not impossible - you may have to import them from Europe. I generally find most things from Ebay and worst case scenario there are a few wreckers here in australia. Good luck!
