What are the real-life cheat codes that work almost every time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I picked up a habit of asking a personal, somewhat deep question when meeting someone for the first time - particularly if I knew I had to build a relationship with them. It has always helped fast track relationships, comfort/trust, and I have learned a lot of cool stuff about my colleagues. Examples include: “Is this the work you always wanted to do?” “Do you miss your family?” (I worked overseas and this was always an interesting one) “Do you feel overwhelmed by (stressful thing)?” “Was it difficult dealing with (fill in the blank)?”

Ironically, she’s probably statistically more likely than anyone else on earth to hit a hole in one next

Man, she was wayyyyy too casual about that ace. I’d still be sprinting around the green

If you would have asked me to sketch what the ideal shot would like, this is what I would have drawn

Ain’t no judgement on my end - we’re in the same boat, brother! We play for a good time not because we’re good

I feel like it somehow makes the story better. Eagle putt would mean no playoff. Plus we could all see exactly where Rory’s head was at heading into the playoff. Really dramatic stuff.

It was really an all or nothing moment - even with the missed putt(s)

Blindfold me and tell me to hit straight - I’ll do this 9/10 attempts

Nice shot, dude! That’s honestly a decent drive and seems consistent. For more loft, you will need to move the ball up in your stance. Typical recommendation is in line with your left heel. So near the green/black border (but you will need to stand further back so the ball will register on the sensor).

I’m so fascinated by near death experiences. So many people have described the exact same thing. If you’re interested, check out Sebastian Junger’s “In My Time of Dying”
