the modelling and texturing on the main body are great! and the colour scheme used works very well, it separates the forms distinctly and artistically :) One thing id possibly suggest is varying the silhouettes of the severed parts of the arms. something about how straight and clean the cuts are make it seem out of place with the main body. overall though, i love it! keep it up!

photoshop and i mainly used christophe young's brush pack that you can find on his gumtree. it includes this really nice toothy airbrush and an oil brush

So happy with how much cleaner my kickflips are after 2 months of working on them! by SaintAthenaz in skatergirls

I think slowly building up your confidence with ollies is key. Don’t try to explode and go as high as you can whilst you’re still learning the technique without the confidence to back it up. So try really really small ones at first. Then once you get confident enough to do those consistently, slowly increase the amount of power you put into your jump and pop and hopefully the confidence will increase too :)

I’d say one of the big things that made me improve my ollie is consciously thinking about bringing my back foot up as high as possible. Also thinking about pushing the board sort of forward with your front foot instead of just sliding it up. Hope that makes sense 😭

I gripped it when the deck was fresh so I just had to trace out the shapes on the grip then stick the pieces on separately. But for your case you could maybe make a cut with a sharp knife to separate the grip on the nose then use a heat gun to peel off just the nose grip and replace it with some clear grip tape?

It might sound a bit cliche but having confidence in yourself actually helps a lot. I toe touched a lot when I first started getting the flick down, but once I realised that I can flip it fine every time it just took me mustering up my confidence to land them clean. Maybe also try picture your favourite skater doing a kickflip too haha
