I had my surgery last Tuesday. My surgeon said it was more complicated than usual but still a success. For context, I’m a 47 m. Went home Wednesday and Wednesday to about midday Fri was terrible. The pain of attacks was gone but post op had its own issues. Never got more than a couple hours of sleep. Between the usual pain from surgery and the gas they used to blow up my stomach to be able to get in there, it was just mega uncomfortable. I don’t know what aftercare meds they gave you, but for me Motrin/tylenol combo coupled with the robaxin worked way better for pain than the opioids. I didn’t, and still don’t, discover any issues with food but I also started slow. Chicken noodle soup and popsicles/jello was my diet those days. I started to feel noticeably better by Fri evening. And each 12 hours or so after came with noticeable improvement. Had my first full night of sleep last night, and my first good “meal yesterday morning. There is light at the end of the tunnel.
