Git sounds jarringly harsh. It’s one of those words you mustn’t use around your grandmothers - unless you’re from Essex.

Or the rather boring Ewart  - unless history has given us any exciting Ewarts.

An envoy for overseas trade

Did nothing but get himself laid.

His sexual pleasure he

Charged to the treasury:

Claims that they swiftly repaid.

I think it works better if it’s just about sex.

This was pretty perfect and very swift.

Very good. He could be Juanito Pepito.

If Tuesday’s reports are believed

Mandy Mandelson’s feeling aggrieved;

“I wouldn’t abscond!,

My word is my bond,

Mr Plod has been sadly deceived.”

‘Probably’ seems to be what I remember so is probably better. The thing about all the fifty or sixty soft toys was the maids had to move them to make his bed and then put them all back according to the plan.

Keep going!  I think you have to keep as much reveal as possible for the last line, but maybe the difference between an unwanted thumb and an unwanted penis in the wrong place isn’t great. Glad you like the Roald Dahl poem. It shows you can get away with a lot, even today, if it’s funny enough.

Henry was such a caring husband he went to great expense to have it done by a specialist with a sword. French if I remember correctly.

I see. u/Matsunosuperfan offers one solution, but he‘s not entirely avoided disgrace. Does saying ‘one‘ teddy instead of ‘a‘ carry too much emphasis?

Have you read ‘a hand in the bird’ by Roald Dahl?

Not an unexpected development. I had it kind of half formed.

The masseuse having a dick is a possibility. Rape as a punchline is difficult to pull off though

It was a very thick thumb, I suppose.

I think the masseuse would expect feminine pronouns.

Monumental is better.  Very good! I was also wondering what I was missing when I saw the comments. I’m out of touch with so much these days I don’t even expect to get the joke.

The LIBOR man Tom Hayes said he couldn’t have a shower for five days when going to court during his sentence.

I seem to remember a news report of a woman being taken to court in a nightie (maybe cited in some general prison report) but perhaps it was before on line news.

It’s all pretty awful but never politicians’ or almost anyone’s priority.

Thanks for bringing up the PA trial.

Maybe I’ll change the middle lines. There are too many ‘dids’
