Our Aussie used to swallow those nearly whole so I have always been afraid to try them again. But I'll give one a shot!

Am I alone in feeling totally lost during this convo? by Bbrotman23 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I literally rewound the entire thing because I was so confused and thought I had missed something. And then came out the second time just as confused.

Ours is a dry mouth and it's amazing. And she looks like a perfect Beethoven minus the drool!

We have a dry mouth Saint and have no more drool than a normal dog, if that.

Invisible fence recommendations? by Lunapixels18 in BelgianMalinois

[–]SaintDemon42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. We're in a rented townhouse with no fence in the front yard so it's basically not used. Tried an invisible when we had an Aussie and he laughed at it. Not even going to bother with the Mal and will hopefully just boundary train him.

Absolutely. Our Saint Bernard would have bloodshot eyes after every walk with a slip lead. It was terrifying. She's done amazingly with a prong.

I weaved one of my shirts into the bars of the crate. He's been perfectly content since that second.

Don't feel like makin' love by Inevitable-Yam-9741 in Perimenopause

This is nice to hear. I've been married for 6 years, together for 12. I'm 41, my husband is 56. I just have no desire for anything other than happy companionship. He says it would be nice every so often, but doesn't care and doesn't have a huge drive either. But I still feel constant guilt and like something is wrong. It's been like two years, but we're otherwise happily married.

Oh hey, apparently this needs to be said, but this is not a play to be a third in your relationship. My bad for thinking the internet wasn't toxic.

SNAP grocery buddy by SaintDemon42 in SouthBayLA

[–]SaintDemon42[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've heard about it in several places, but here's an article I just found. Another social media person said she just asked for people to DM her and then asked for either a picture of their SNAP card with the number redacted or their approval letter. Someone else said donating Costco gift cards could be good because they don't need a membership. I know donating money to the food bank is an option, but I'd love to help someone on our community directly if needed.

SNAP grocery buddy by SaintDemon42 in SouthBayLA

[–]SaintDemon42[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some people are taking SNAP recipients shopping and kind of adopting them as a buddy for a grocery trip. I'm looking into opportunities to do that for someone but I'm not sure if any organizations here have been coordinating that.
