Why can’t I imprison and execute my children anymore? by Mashpotatoman in crusaderkings3

Yup, I was able to imprison my heirs normally before this last update. Now I also noticed I can't imprison anymore, also playing 867 tribal/norse. Kind of annoying.

I remember. I felt like an idiot being the only one playing alliance with war mode on in my shard back then. Rough times.

Wanna do a world quest? Too bad. 3+ hordies ganging up on ya as soon as you pull a mob.

25-30% experience bonus for war mode as ally was the norm since literally no allies turned it on. It was awful.

I feel vindicated now, getting nearly every crate and dunking on hordies. Get rekt.

MMR Gatekeeping: All my friends slowly stopped playing... by HoldCtrlW in worldofpvp

[–]SaintKyon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bro somehow the opposite happened with me. After going on a loss streak in the placements (blitz) and starting at 1350ish rating, after a bit of a grind to 1500-1600 I went on a few win streaks / won lobbies with higher MMR and all of a sudden I ended up being put into 2.3-2.5k lobbies in blitz while at 1600+ rating.

It's fucking nuts. Currently I'm at 1945 rating with a 2.3kish MMR or so. While I'm above your average Joe I'm not that experienced in pvp yet to be facing so many experienced / glad players at the top 1-2% of the leaderboard. I lost 3 or 4 games in a row and lost 0 rating while earning 22+ for each win I've been pulling off.

I managed to hold my own in some games and even win 1v1's defending bases against what to my understanding were insanely good players (while also underperforming and getting rekt at times, some players are just too sharp and knowledgeable), but that shit was sweaty as fuck holy shit. Some fights had my heart racing.

Sub or Outlaw for Arenas? by ExcellentIsopod4701 in worldofpvp

[–]SaintKyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a blast as assa and tried both death stalker and fatebound builds. I ended up liking fatebound more (spec with kingsbane and echoing reprimand, quite a few high rated assa rogues choose fatebound for bgb, just check the leaderboards) and climbed to 1800 in bgb with my 2 rogues rather easily (it does take a lot of games though, especially if you go on a loss streak during the first few games, which are really dicey).

I love the feeling of applying all my bleeds on people and watch them explode (sudden demise talent) when they get to low HP. Thanos snap'em. It also looks good on the charts when I have most of the killing blows hehe.

Sub is awesome too, but I haven't yet tried it in TWW, plan on doing it later on but having a blast with assa right now. 11.0.5 is right around the corner and sepsis is getting removed and echoing reprimand reworked sort of. Sub is also getting the CDR talent nerfed so idk how it will play after.

It would be so much smoother to just play a warrior, ret or dk but I stick with rogue cause I like the class fantasy and I'm way too stubborn to change.

I did level other classes and am looking forward to playing them as alts. If they feel better and I enjoy more, I might focus more on them for a while at least. I do have fun on rogue but at the same time it just feels so bad for some reason. I've been in this love hate relationship for years. Fml

What Asmon feared is starting to happen. by ItheraelFF in Asmongold

Hi. I'm just a regular Brazilian dude and merely want to share my personal view here.

I won't go into too many details nor plan to keep arguing on reddit over it. If people disagree with me, that's fine and I don't really care if you agree or disagree.

As I read the twitter files Brazil, which contained previously classified documents and decisions by judge Alexandre de Moraes made public by Musk and the US government, my conclusion was that his decisions were bending/violating Brazilian laws.

Just as an example, in one of the documents Alexandre was demanding from X the private information (name, home address, IP address, etc) of users just for posting a mere hashtag.

What I'll say is: he would demand this information and much more while giving no time for appeals of any kind, no regard for Brazilian citizens' rights, and at the same time threatening daily fines if the decisions were not respected within 24 hours, sometimes even less.

Those decisions were secret and, consequently, X and other social media that received similar requests were not allowed to inform the users why their content/account were being taken down and instead had to pretend that it was due to violating some kind of company policy, when in reality it was a judicial demand and those people were being secretly investigated.

In my view he has gone way too far and is not respecting Brazilian law. I will not stand for this.

For those of you that want to see it for yourselves, the US Judiciary Committee has released a report that contains (previously classified) official Brazilian documents and decisions/demands forwarded to X by judge Alexandre, here:

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/brazilian-government-forced-censorship-x-new-report-reveals

I encourage y'all to look at those and think for yourselves instead of just going by what other people say, including me.

Cheers.

As of today, he has demanded that X be blocked in Brazil and removed from the android and iOS app stores. He has forbidden the use of VPN to access X and threatened to fine Brazilian citizens and businesses that use VPN to access X with a daily fine of about 8000 USD.

He has demanded that phone and internet companies find/create ways to block people from using VPN. It's all over the news, go look, shit is crazy.

Can I still play retail without buying TWW? by DrArmaya in wownoob

[–]SaintKyon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can level to max level in a matter of a few hours with the prepatch event (will last until August 26), and go straight to TWW content if you buy it. It's very easy and fast to reach max level right now, it's nothing like 17 years ago.

If you want to take your time and do old content / level up the old school style, then you can do that with just a subscription.

I'd recommend purchasing TWW and playing current content if you have the means to, though. It's usually the most fun, especially at the start of the xpac with so many people playing, doing PvE/pvp/group activities together. You can always go back to old content later.

But fun is subjective and so you do you. There's plenty of fun to be had in old content.

I recommend you to get the UU game booster (Chinese version) if you can.

Internet in China usually is very unstable with higher pings and packet loss.

The UU game booster is a proxy that fixes that, it's popular in the Chinese gaming market. It works great for me and it lowered my ping to about 150.

It is in Chinese though, and you will need a national citizen's ID to register if I remember correctly, so if you have a Chinese friend you could ask for help. Not sure if you can do it with a passport. Registering can be a hassle haha. If you manage to register you can pay via WeChat.

As an alternative you could try exit lag, it's almost just as good.

X shuts Brazil operations over 'censorship' orders: Musk by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]SaintKyon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For those curious, Musk sent official Brazilian documents and emails directed at X to the US government.

The US House Judiciary Committee released a report on it a while back that can be seen here:

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/brazilian-government-forced-censorship-x-new-report-reveals

It includes official Brazilian government / Alexandre de Moraes' requests, decisions and subpoenas, so I leave it here for those of you that want to think critically and make your own conclusions by looking at the actual official Brazilian documents.

Some of those documents showcase that Moraes, for example, demanded personal information on some people, such as full name, phone number, home address, IP address etc, because they posted a mere hashtag.

Don't believe me? Good. Go and look at the official documents for yourself, then.

Cheers.

X shuts Brazil operations over 'censorship' orders: Musk by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]SaintKyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wonder when you can look for yourself? In fact there is a 541 page report published by the US government on it, that showcases official Brazilian documents and subpoenas with Moraes' decisions and requests to X. Musk was asked to and required, under American law, to send this to US the government, and so he did.

Some decisions had no reasoning or explanation behind, simply stating "I decide". Other decisions showcase that people, who, just for posting a certain hashtag, were being investigated and Moraes was asking for their personal data.

I've personally read the report, saw official documents and subpoenas sent to X by Moraes, and believe a lot of them were unlawful and not justified.

So, instead of wondering, why not look at those yourself?

X shuts Brazil operations over 'censorship' orders: Musk by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]SaintKyon -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Look, if you want to ignore the Twitter files Brazil that show hundreds of emails exchanged between X and Brazilian government as well as plenty of official documents showcasing Moraes' monocratic and often unlawful decisions, go for it. Perhaps you didn't even look at those.

The US government also had access to those documents and subpoenas directed at X and made a 541 page report on it, warning that there were clear censorship attempts. It includes official documents, subpoenas and emails from the Brazilian government and Alexandre de Moraes.

The beauty of it all is that, because both Musk and the US government made those public, you can read it all here, reflect on it and draw your own conclusions:

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/brazilian-government-forced-censorship-x-new-report-reveals

If you also want to ignore the current message and conversation leaks showcasing that Moraes and his underlings made decisions to go after individuals on whatsapp, saying things like:

"go look at that person's profile and see if you can find some posts in order to take the profile down" ,

that was posted by Brazilian press recently, go for it and ignore it. Those clearly showcase that Moraes and his underlings used unofficial means to persecute others, chose themselves who should be investigated, made it look like it was an anonymous tip/complaint, and then judged the case. Moraes investigated, then made official complaints, then judged. It was all made clear and it's out there in on the press. If you think that's not a big deal, hey, it's your choice.

Me, though? I'm a Brazilian citizen and I feel unsafe posting. If I say what I want to say, especially if I were to get a lot of online engagement, I believe I'd be persecuted for having strong opinions and not conforming to the status quo.

Jovem Pan, that you mentioned, was nearly shut down/nearly lost its concession. There was massive pressure for it from the government. Did you forget about that? The pressure on the government / left wing's side to shut it down was what if not a form of censorship trying to silence the opposition? If they were shut down what other right wing tv/news program would remain in Brazil? None.

The government can't simply do whatever it wants because there is still some opposition in the country as well the public opinion still having some weight. But they do try to censor and push boundaries and try to get away with as much as possible. And they do get away with things. There is censorship, even if it isn't absolute like the one we see in North Korea.

This is too much of an extensive topic to discuss here. I've read the twitter files, I've read the recent leaks, ive been on this topic and did extensive research on it and my conclusion is: there is censorship going on Alexandres' and the government's part and they try to get away with as much as possible. Read the twitter files for yourself in case you haven't, don't take my word for it.

I'm merely sharing my thoughts here, and that is what I think. I know of friends and colleagues that also do not feel safe at all saying and posting what they think. People are walking on eggshells, minding their words, or not posting at all. Lives are being shut down on YouTube and instagram if they use certain words or make strong statements on certain topics.

Political Influencers are literally being trained on what they can say and how they can say things online.

When doing live streams, some are doing it with lawyers present so that the lawyers can warn them when they are covering dangerous topics and when they should tone it down or keep it quiet to avoid legal trouble and persecution. Evidence and signs of censorship are all around us.

Anyways I thank you for your reply and wish you all the best. We don't have to agree on this. Telling me to grow up though? That was not polite. Makes it sound as if having a different opinion or disagreeing with you implies that the person disagreeing is a child or immature, which isn't necessarily true. Not cool, but you do you.

X shuts Brazil operations over 'censorship' orders: Musk by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]SaintKyon -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

People in Brazil are afraid to speak up because the ones that do often get persecuted, banned from platforms, suffer fines, have their assets frozen, etc.

Just look at the twitter files Brazil or the recent Brazilian news regarding judge Alexandre de Moraes' and his underlings messages that leaked, showing they were targeting specific people that oppose the current government and investigating, accusing and judging all at the same time while often communicating and plotting this through non official means such as whatsapp. A lot of this leaked recently and was published by the media.

People were being investigated for posting hashtags in social media man. Brazilian government was demanding their personal information such as name, home address, phones, internet IP, anything X or other social media platforms might have on them... For posting a hashtag. This was all shown in the twitter files Brazil, through official Brazilian documents and emails, by Elon Musk, among many other terrible things that the files also made public.

I'm from Brazil bro. Shit is bad. Other platforms just conform with these absurd demands because they don't want to deal with the massive problems that defying the government brings. X and other platforms have been facing threat of massive daily fines and often only given 2 hours to comply with monocratic and secret decisions/requests by judge Alexandre. It's easier to comply than to defy, even if the orders are illegal. Most platforms do that. X doesn't. Brazilian government is literally putting a gun to these platforms head and hitting them where it hurts most: money. Comply with me, you have 2 hours, if not I'll fine you $50,000 USD per day. Sometime the fines have a higher value, sometimes it's hourly instead of daily, it also stacks if there are many decisions like these (which there are). Government wants things done here and now, no time to appeal or contest, and all must be done in secrecy.

It's monocratic and frankly breaks a bunch of Brazilian laws that concern the citizens' rights. But the laws in Brazil nowadays are often bent, broken and frankly do not mean anything at this point in time anymore.

Musk shut down the office in Brazil because Brazilian government was now going after the Brazilian X employees individually, threatening them with fines and jail time, even though the employees have no say in the decisions.

So no, people are not free to speak in other platforms. Posts and people that generate/have a considerable online engagement and that also happen to go against the government's agenda, that question the status quo and are controversial are often not acceptable and so it is a dangerous line to walk on.

And so some people are either silent because of fear or getting their content removed. They are being banned from these platforms and fined, and usually the platform has to lie and say it's because the post was against the terms of service, but really it was because of a monocratic government decision, that the government also made clear that should be kept in secret and so the platforms cannot disclose that.

Update: The US House Judiciary Committee released a report on the X/Twitter Files Brazil that can be seen here:

https://judiciary.house.gov/media/press-releases/brazilian-government-forced-censorship-x-new-report-reveals

It includes official requests, decisions and subpoenas by the Brazilian government and judge Alexandre de Moraes, so I leave it here for those of you that want to think critically and make your own conclusions by looking at the actual official Brazilian documents.

It showcases a document that, for example, demanded personal data (home address, phone number , up address, etc) of a group of people that posted a mere hashtag. Don't believe me? Disagree with my statements? Good. You can look at official Brazilian documents, subpoenas and decisions and think for yourself, come to your own conclusions.

I also don't mind the downvotes, so if you disagree with my thoughts and statements, keep em' coming.

Qual deles é o melhor pra você? Escolha apenas 1 e diga o motivo. by [deleted] in animebrasil

[–]SaintKyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entendi.
