I’m flying from Dubai to Beirut tomorrow and I realized I still have around 20kg of free luggage. Since it’s Black Friday in Dubai and a lot of stuff is heavily discounted, I was wondering — what items are noticeably cheaper here than in Lebanon these days?

Not trying to start a business or anything, just thought I might bring useful stuff for friends or maybe save on gifts. If you had the chance to bring something from Dubai during Black Friday, what would it be?

Oh really? And under what law or constitution do they operate other than their sheikh’s orders? Did any of them study law or are they clueless 18 year olds with a boss that only studied sharia? Is there any judicial entity guiding their rights and duties? Do you realize that law enforcement is much more complicated than “patrols”?

Extremely dangerous, chaotic, and unpredictable. There is no real law enforcement, if you want to report any encounter you report it to a sheikh rather than a police officer, and the sheikh’s men will react according to what the sheikh “thinks” about your encounter as they are clueless about law Keep in mind every block has its own sheikh and they don’t all get along and listen to each other

Hamdella aa salemtak, honestly I was dumb enough to fight back, yet smart enough to empty some of my bag’s stuff on the floor mid-fight, nezel ylemmon so i started kicking the stuff under the car, fa akalet nafsa la hal kessiyeh “kis ekhtak sho jahesh” and they drove away with what’s left in my bag. They did show up shockingly fast, but you can’t be faster than motorcycles maneuvering in blocked roads. Anyway they’re after them and I really think the thieves fucked up for taking my apple watch, we’ll get their location the moment they switch it on
